Looking for drivers side bench seat hooks (71). I might have to make something as I'm drawing a blank. Funnily enough people like to sell seats whole, and not in parts :)

Cheap, reliable, bolt on, Fuel injection... That delivers exceptional low end performance and economy.:hhmm:

I'm not selling one, I WANT ONE :)

But it should look like this one that was sold two years ago by a fellow mudder.

Who sold that one? May have been one that I bought. I konow damn hoarder

I believe that some people purchase the new step, then cut and weld the tabs at the top to mate with the older holes in the rear cross member. What I don't know is if the step itself is of the same width.

I had planned on installing a later step onto a earlier cruiser. But instead of going to all the work of switching the flanges I filled in the mounting holes and planned on drilling new mounting holes. They would mount in the same holes as the earlier style. Found a couple of earlier step so I gave up the idea. Probablydrill it out to the later style again.

I got lucky and found one of those in a junk yard. But I plan on using it to convert a 71/72 bench seat with the fixed center section for emission tank to a fold down arm rest that locks upright.

Spector is the only place to get these sliding rear windows for now. ;) Their cost is $410? That seems really high for a slider window.

I have some sources for slider window manufacturing. I will start working on this one if there is enough interest. I think there will be.

I need a little help from all of you to get started. I got rid of my last hard top a few months ago. I dont have one to take measurements. I have looked everywhere online and cant find measurements and when i do, I am getting mixed information. If someone has a side hardtop panel with the glass out that they could take some pictures with a measuring tape showing height and width. This will work for a preliminary work up. I can get a panel that Tackleberry has offered near me, but it might be a week or so. Id like to get on this now. This would be for years 63-76.

Thanks Brothers!

I will post this up in a new thread to track any progress.

I would have to double check to be sure but the weather stripping and windows changed sizes between the 71 and 72 models years. As for the 77 model and up probably pretty easy to cut the vent window post out and install a slider. I went the other way in that I installed the vent window into a 73 using parts from a 78. The shorter window weather stripping fit fine into the 73 top. The vent window weather stripping was also a perfect fit to the back side.

Nice thought. Even though the weather stripping/glass size varied, did the hardtop window opening change? Spector is selling the Sliding window advertized for 63-76

Those would actually be for mid '65 on ...corrugated tops ended in mid '65, and all corrugated tops had much smaller side windows...very different.

Weather stripping for the 74 that fits like OE... OEM is no longer available for both sides.
