I'm really digging your truck. I love the looks of those tires and the cage. I'm looking forward to see how you like them.

Did you buy those tires used or new?
Thanks!

They are used.

As I said before, that looks pretty dang sweet!

You put longs and poly perf in those axles yet?

Poly Performance rear axles...if you have an e-locker it will cost a LOT more than front end damage if you break back there. Ask me how I know :)...oh yeah, YOU know since you saw it getting fixed when you were here!

i thought those tires were heavier than that. not so bad. you'le still break an axle ill bet. i just got a new 42 irok spare for my truck and 2 people can hardly get it into the back of the lx.

kudos for running those meats. this is the only way to find the limits to the drivetrain. got spares?

and those tires you have there are not flexing. air them lower. more pics

Yeah not bad, I took the tire/wheel off to do some trimming and picked it up and put it back on the axle myself with out to much trouble:banana:....Oh don't worry I'm not living in some fantasy world thinking I won't break anything!
I don't have any spare axles or tranny parts right now but I know I will have to get them at some point.

I know they aren't flexing alot but compared to the Toyo's they are...look at the pic closer

This was basically a scenic run so I only aired down to 10psi...I will air down to prolly 3psi for the hard runs!!

is this 10lbs?
Yes!
And what do your tires look like at 10psi bumped up on a curb???...I think a better comparison would be a set of Thornbirds or Boggers though!

I think today I will air down to 5 and then 0 for comparison...check back for pics tonight!

Myth Busters!

Military tires don't flex!.......BUSTED!:ban:

Here they are at 5psi

While they may not flex as good as a 35"BFG M/T they do flex and bite quite well!

wow, talk about a run-flat!!

Very cool. Thanks for the pics.

looks good. thanks for pics. ill bet they will stay on fine at 5psi
Oh yes for sure!

The toyo's in that side by side pic are 13.50's and my tires are at least and inch or more wider than they are.
So on an 8" rim I don't see how I could have any prob!
Plus if you look at the tire pics you can see this black gluewy tar stuff coming from around the bead. That stuff was all inside the tires when I bought them. It must be something the military uses to prevent leaks and beads from popping!:meh:

Actually that 'black gluewy tar stuff' is a water soluble lube that the military uses to ease the effort of mounting the tire to the rim. just fiy.
