Is that really where you want your spare mounted?

We actually knew a US Air Force officer that died when her tire exploded in her lap in her Miata while stationed in the UK.

Car passenger killed as tyre she was holding on her lap explodes

that picture there is a great example of why most of our east coast wheeling areas are shut down.

At first I was like.... Wow I didn't know there was rock like that in GA... Minus the paint, had no idea. Prob had no idea because of what you said, it's all privately owned and closed.

Painted the grill on my snorkel. Added a little bling. Like the way it turned out.

Where are all those pictures taken? Looks like a cool ghost town.

If I had to wager a guess, somewhere in the Qu'Appelle valley in Saskatchewan.

Ran the Barrett Lake trail with fellow Mud member Finnyfam60. I have not been on this trail since 1991 and Finny had never done it. It was like I had never done it either for that matter!
This trail is rated 9/10 and I agree. 100feet through the gate I dented my passenger door on a tree. This spot is one of the toughest on the trail. This trail is bordered very closely with trees and boulders, has countless hairpin turns and rocks in the middle. It is approximately 4 miles long. The trip in took over 6 hours but involved hold ups due to the mechanical problems of others (broken motor mount and punctured oil filter). The trip out took about 5 hours with quite a bit of on coming traffic. Of course we had the only 80's on the trail and got plenty of looks and comments. Between the two of us we winched 4 times, reseated one tire bead and sustained substantial damage to one OEM rear LCA. All in all, not too bad. The dust was beyond description!!

@AMMO We need to to do this one. I'm almost ready!

Actually it's the town of Robsart in Southwest Saskatchewan. We camped in the Cypress Hills and followed the Red Coat Trail out of the park. There are a few abandoned/semi-abandoned towns along that route, Robsart being the biggest. There was a pioneer hospital, a few businesses, and a number of houses. The businesses still had a lot of items in them from when they were operating.

Lets put the risk of a tyre "exploding" in context with offroading, or even driving at 60mph with oncoming traffic at 60mph, less than 2 feet apart,
and all the other dangers in the world, and I doubt "exploding tyre" would be to the left of a decimal point.....
I know someone who drowned in beer vat once, didnt stop us toasting them at the funeral.

Wish you would have done that a week ago when we were up there. Would love to have ran this pass with another 80. Your pictures from the top came out great. Looks like you were actually able to capture how steep the descent was looking back up the mountain.
