Surveyed the remaining flood waters. I live about 5 miles from the San Jacinto river in Houston.

Maiden voyage for the newborn.

Working on trying to take the flares off. Are the rears held in with clips?I have the rear most bolt out and mud flaps off. I don't want to damage them, help! :-)
I'm sure there is an faq I just can't find it on my phone

I finished the oil pan reseal, and wow was that a bunch of fun. In the process, I now have no kidding, six extra bolts and four extra nuts. Some of them are factory new ones that workers dropped in the frame and they evidently fell out as I removed things.

I mounted the cheap Chinese snorkel and engaged in a bit of whimsy for my daughters.

Thought it looked strange that the trees across the river looked like they were in the fall colour, but it was only the sun setting, but it had been cloudy just till then.

I had a productive afternoon.

Got my console lock finished: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/locking-stock-center-console-mod-idea.826665/#post-9771718

Installed a new rear cargo area light similar to this: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/rear-cargo-light-install-erg80-style.518809/page-3#post-7861143 My '93 does have the existing wiring; for anyone who hasn't done this yet, I suspect that 91-94 do have the wiring in the rear driver-side pillar and 95-97 don't and will need to pull wire from the center dome light.

Replaced my moon roof switch which would open but not close my moon roof, works now. Yay! Got a used switch from a MUD member and switched it out. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/moon-roof-issues.858036/

Installed my second (passenger side) yodaTEQ antenna mount that has been sitting on my desk for the last few months.

Where would the wiring be in my '91? You mention the driver side pillar, but it is tucked up in there? How would I access it? I've been wanting a light in the rear area for a while, but haven't taken the time to run power to the back...this would solve my problem!

Any details would help.

Thanks,

Can't believe I forgot to post...couple weekends ago got to use my jumper cables!! On my brother's Expedition! It's the small things that make me :)

There is a thread on this. Can't remember it right now. Just ordered another dome light to do it.

The first picture in the post I linked to is a picture of them (it is sideways). To get to them had to pull down the rear of the headliner (2 seals basically) and they were tucked in right at the top of the pillar. The wire for this was just tied to the others there in that bundle and tucked in a little, easy to find.

Here is another thread that talks about this: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/rear-cargo-light-install.43073/

I forgot to say I also installed my Wit's End APU-2 console organizer in my upper console. No pictures but he has some good ones here: http://absolute-wits-end.com/accessory-panel-unit-5x8-5/ I did the same thing that @TahoeLX450 did and took the top of the console apart before drilling pilot holes, threading the snap screws, and then cutting the tips off the snap screws before reinstalling them to make sure nothing poked through into the leather. I don't think it was necessary but I wanted to be very conservative and it didn't take much extra time at all. There isn't much padding on mine so this was just a way to make sure.

I also installed the Wit's End console liners which look great and fit better than the beat up (OEM?) liners that were in there.

@Dazrin Since it seems to be a more common concern than expected, I'm now going to grind off the points of all of the snap screws by default. This is the 3rd instance I know of so "screw it" HA!
