Measured the front brake pads since I still don't like the way the car brakes. 7mm pads in the front. The disks don't look warn out.

Great Im just now putting OME med springs 2 1/2" lift w Icon shocks instead of OME what height is your lift?
Did you need caster alteration?

I have the 4" slee lift. It needed additional caster correction. I had the plates that came with the lift kit. They did not do the job. The new arms took care of that problem.

Installed a JVC head unit" for the USB, "installed" an Alaskan Bear flag sticker, painted the trim black and hit some trails south of the city about an hour.

Stopped by Bird Creek park. We are having a fantastic spring here in south central Los Anchorage.

Was that part of D-Woody?

Well it was a an attack on two fronts.

Began with repainting the shocks that came with the lift purchased from jp_waltz. To do that I had to figure out how to get the plastic dust boots off without destroying them.
Before

After

Had to do something between paint coats so decided to gut the 80 for the new carpet.

Laid in some sound deadening...

Followed by some new plush pile...

Quick tip- When your gutting everything, put the bolts back in the holes.
It will make finding the bolts/holes with the new carpet much easier. Just feel for the bump and run your razor knife around the head of the bolt and wha-la..perfect location every time.

Still have to put the seats/panels back and repaint the console/s but have some things to run fore and aft before I do that and a trip to the supply house for a buttload of new panel clips. Saved all but 2 but they are very brittle so new ones seem warranted.

Oh...another quick tip.
When using both a utility knife and a carpet knife...always pay attention to which you have in your hand.
And if you forget...there is always the duct tape compression bandage..

Installed some tailgate storage, https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/rear-tailgate-storage-solution-the-55-version.820515/
It only cost ~$20 though. $18 on sale for the hatch from amazon + screws from the hardware store. Took less than an hour to do. I mounted the hatch as far down on the tailgate as I could so I didn't have to worry about the rod that opens the gate. All of the fasteners for the carpet were retained. Nice additional storage to have, not bad for $20!
