finally got some time to get a few thing done
Wheels, LCPhil's Puma mount and interior spare tire mount powder coated, new 315/70-17 Yokohama A/T-S on Sequoia wheels and tinted the windows (I hate driving around in a fish bowl)

Working through my pre-Cruise Moab list, installed Slee SliderSteps, CDL switch and gave her the first wash of the spring.

sliders and a rear bumper, you should be good... and at least a rear locker.

tempted to start ih8rust.com for central and northeasterners. I'm totally neurotic about it, frequently put coating under my Albuquerque-raised 80

jealous of the Southwest and all the great photos. enjoy!

My 92 80 looks like a Southwest rig and I live in the Midwest. Granted I power wash the undercarriage (while rolling around on a creeper) 2-3 times per week. And I use plenty of water while doing it!

Disclaimer #1 for the West/Southwest folks: Water is a compound of 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, H2O, which in a less pure state exists in rain, snow, lakes, rivers...

Disclaimer #2 for the West/Southwest folks: Rain is when water falls from the sky...

:flipoff2:

edit: Didn't see all of the "what is water?" comments. This post was funnier before I read all of those...

What did I do to my 80 this weekend?

Replaced both outside rear view mirrors and the steering column shroud.
Picked up a new oil pump o-ring as well as the screws (just in case), a new valve cover gasket set, distributor o-ring and front crank seal and a new pan gasket as well as a complete service kit for the Birfield front end so i have it on hand when I tear the hubs and front rotors apart for the brake job.

Still deciding the best path to follow on the brakes IE pads and rotors or replace the calipers as well so it is 100% new from here forward.

Started researching info on Laptop based diagnostic programs to start reading and working with the OBD1 system on this thing and figure out the intake air temp error.

Got lots to do and the 80 is just one of the many projects that all scream for time.

Ok, found it. And you do have product to sell, so go live biatch! :flipoff2: Cuz I wanna make it rain!!

I can now recall the lesson I had in chemistry a long time ago about the hydrogen and oxygen mixture.

Just so I can stay with the topic here... I didn't do anything with my 80 this past weekend. Just looked at it a few times, admiring it from different angles.
Actually I measured the inside, tailgate to front seats, so I know how much room I got there in case I decide I want to throw in a bed to sleep inside the car. 2x4 setups going through my mind, plastic bins for storage and plywood support, etc.

Back on topic...

I used my 80 to pick up lumber to build shelves in my garage.

And today I got some goodies in the mail. Time to replace the 23 year old O2 sensors and eliminate the EGR.

Got a call that all of my parts are in at Toyota to do my tune up. New plugs, wires, cap, PCV valve, and everything else @jonheld recommended. Going to be a busy week for my girl. :)

I'm guessing I will increase my MPG from the 6 mpg that I am getting now to hopefully 12 mpg. I will pee myself if I do.
