where are those out of?
and how much modification?

So what is your comparison on the two? I know my J's are nice and worn in, and soft. But they make for a cushy ride. Height diff.?

ride is a little more controlled but still need to crank up the red dial on the KING shocks. The Js rode like a cadillac with some weight on the back. I prefer to have taught suspension....

Does *anyone* have a good source on Recaros for 80s in the States? Also curious about mounting options

Those are awesome Gorilla

Thanks guys, I was lucky enough to find these in Japan from an 80 Series, so Seats are Recaro (From some model VW) and teh rails are 80 Series Landcruiser specific, so its a bolt in job.

They come up every now and then.

Most reclinable aftermarket seats should work on these rails. I can get you guys some quotes to send some rails over but they are bulky and heavy. Im lucky that i import containers from Japan so Im always on the hunt for awesome JDM stuff (Like my rear wing, wheels and window visors:))

I got tired of vacuuming up dog hair so I made a seat cover utilizing a painters tarp. I used 1/2" grommets so that the head rest can still be used and the post helps hold the tarp in place. The camo cover is from SOR and it works great on protecting the seat leather from my dogs nails.

Nice looking rig.... What tyre size are running there?

Played a little...

possibly!!

have heavies, j springs, comp 5"........too many springs, i always think that i am going to use them when i get my next cruiser.

j springs with bilstiens ride the best for me....on a budget build!

comps and kings are ideal for me at the moment no expenses spared.

just my humble opinion.

Last week, but replaced my PO installed Bosch starter with a reman Toyota/Denso. Also, finally got my flares lined. I was going to wait until spring and use Monstaliner, but the local Linex guy did it for $60 more than the kit. I think he did a heck of a good job. I had some wrinkles in my sheet metal from sliding into a tree off road an he sprayed more liner to fill it in. He put it on there really thick without me even asking him to because he said he knew I would be off road. Also. My rear end doesn't sit that much higher as it looks in the photos. It's just how it's sitting in the driveway.

Also, went four wheeling at Gulches off road park for the first time. It's a fun place.

Had some steel laying around in the garage and was trying to figure out what to do with it. Kind of copied a friend's swaybar disconnects. Now i just need to add some bumpstops to them and i'll be done.

After messing with this, as simple as it it, by the time you measure 10 times, drill, drill again, mock them up, measure for the swaybar mounts, cut the steel, knock down the sharp edges, paint them, buy the hardware..... it's easier and maybe just as cheap to buy land cruiser phil's brackets and be done with it.

Started working on installing my ditch lights. Pulled the wiring through the factory grommets/rubber from door to body.
