Can you tell me a little more about this mod? Is it an actual modification to the OEM alternator or just installing a different alt that's rated at 150 amps?

use modified brackets and an alternator off a toyota sequoia....LC alt are rated at 90 amps but the sequoia alt is rated at 150 amps

Finally got my 2 inch lift installed after having it for 2 weeks. Very excited

Made a trip to North Georgia and then to Tennessee with the family. All totaled we drove 1990 miles and averaged 14.3 miles per gallon. No issues. Brakes were perfect!

Went up Charlie's creek in Georgia, mud, articulated, and crossed up. No issues. Watched F350 diesel with 20" MUDs and 6" lift 4X4 get stranded. He refused my help so I went on my way. Eight hours later I see the guy at a restaurant in Clayton, talking to a tow truck driver who pulled him out. Irony.

Did you go on the New Years cove ride? Looked like stuff got crazy out there with all the rain. I hope to join you guys soon.

had it sit while i rode with treerootco on a snow run :(

haven't put longer brake lines on yet and didn't want to risk it. tonight, i did swap out the weak fan clutch with the blue hub from the marshmallow. 31 minutes. not bad time considering i couldn't pull the shroud out of the way

No, wasn't aware of the ride

I'll be heading up again in the end of February.

Had the new windshield installed today. They had a hard time getting the rubber seal off without hurting it ,it was the first time ever removed since 1997 . They spend a good 2 hours on it . My metal bending was right where it should be they said and the new glass fit great . With all the work they did they only charged me 178.40 including tax for glass and labor . I'll be taking it to get it inspected tomorrow first thing and if it passes I'm sending the paper work off to get my rebuilt title. I have looked through that cracked for 2 years now ,Looking through new glass is so nice .

Unless you have @Photoman alt kit and smaller pulley which brings up the RPM on the alt for long idle situations.

Had my alternator checked out today. It passed at idle and at 2000rpm. 13.5 volts at idle and 14.6 volts at 2000rpm.

I'll check out @Photoman's mod and do this when the weather gets warmer this spring. With the 150amp Sequoia alternator do you still need to go dual batteries if you run a winch or have a fridge? I don't have either but have plans for both...

Why you go dual batteries is a debated topic. Some don't see the need and haven't had cause for concern. Others have been in sucky situations killing their only battery. For me, I wanted the security of knowing that my main battery does one thing and does it well...start the truck.

Is adding a 2nd battery hard to do ? What all do you need and where can you get the parts to make it happen . Thanks .

does the grill come with free oil smoked flavor? when did you have time to create that? Frank I need the "goodies" asap!!

Voltage dropping @ a stop/low RPM is normal when running your lights & heater blower on high. It's not uncommon for the lights to dim & the blower slow down when you're coming/come to a stop. If it really bothers you an upgraded alt. is the only way to fix that situation. It doesn't bother me enough to invest the time/money into the Seq./Tundra alt. & bracket & belt & ????

Saw this on the street in Midtown Manhattan this afternoon. Anyone know whose it is?
