Wow!

The wife and I drove up to Duke Creek Falls, northwest of Cleveland, GA.

I have got to take a trip up there! Looks like less than an hour from me.

hey, did you leave something in the mail box ?

yes, Mohave Road is not terribly technical - although the river crossing by Bakersfield may require scouting and walking it first, depending on water levels - also, if wet, you can get yourself royally stuck in the salt flats

very scenic and remote - we didn't meet another party in 3 days, only on the last day did we meet a Ford Van puking transmission fluid (he was going up an incline, loaded to the hilt with rocks -or so he said ); he didn't have the sense to slow down and take it easy even after we donated all our spare tranny fluid to him  - I am sure he paid dearly for the tow

really, a cool trail

I did leave a half consumed wine bottle there:D

We did not see anyone out there until we passed by the train route on the third day...

I'd like to see the Mojave again in spring, hopefully take my two ladies at home so they can see the beautiful scenery!

When I was growing up in S. Georgia, my parents made me rake the pine straw out of our yard, and put it in huge piles at the street to be hauled off as waste. Today, the wife and I drove approximately 20 miles one-way to a friend's house to rake, bag, and haul home 15 contractor-grade trash bags of pine straw to use as ground cover at our house.

Used the 80 to take my wife back and forth between the hospital emergency and doctors. Here's hoping this weekend's better.

:frown: That doesn't sound good. Hope all is well.

Cut away a portion of the front mud flaps and sand papered the cut edge for a more factory look!!!!!

I broke off one of the 10mm bolts on the back side of the knuckle housing because I got my lefty-loosy/righty-tighty confused.

:bang::bang::bang:

Nothing like making a long job longer. This will be fun to fix...

Been there before . I have decided to pass on my skill of making projects longer and more expensive to my friend who is a mechanic. while trying to figure out why my center diff lock would not lock he checked the CDL indicator switch and in the process broke it. after further testing we confirmed that it was the switch that was faulty and needed to be replaced. Ya see i would have broken something else and made the fix project longer and more expensive and trained pro like my friend ( he is a mechanic) breaks what is already is broken.. contained chaos.

I spread the love.

I also changed out a bent lower control arm and fixed a rattle. turns out the rubber "harmonic balancer" thingy on the side of the tcase was rubbing on one of my IPOR skid plate braces.. I put a wooden wedge in there to shift it away from the brace.

A U joint was making some noise in rear driveshaft so I replaced it with my spare driveshaft. I hate dealing with U joints.

This is when I truly miss my lift : (

Went up to snoqualmie pass only about an hour from me, played in some snow we got and tested out the kevlars in the snow!

Which exit is that at? Was up there yesterday afternoon. An hour after the below picture was taken, it started dumping. We took the Denny Creek road back down from the Pass. Looking forward to a few more feet to do a snow run!

Cheers,
Salue

What happened to the old booster?
