Really I told him I couldn't let off or I'd never get going again. He seemed to have a sense of humor about it, told me to get a front plate and slow it down. That was it.

Quoted for truth.

had an accident with a tin of mat black paint today ....

I know this won't be to everyones' taste ... but it's not their truck ... it's mine ... and i like it like that ... 8)

I'm calling BS - there's no way an 80 can do 78 mph going uphill in Colorado. :D

Westbound Vail Pass is not that steep for the most part. Pretty gradual climb. East bound is a different story. (I used to drive it every day) I'm surprised he got out of it though. A friend of mine once used that ploy with different results.

Finished up getting the drive train assembled and now ready to get this beast buttoned up.

Finally figured out why my fuel door would not open up with the cab release, turns out the plastic pin was bent somehow and would not fully retract... Now I don't have to open up the jack panel every time I want to fill up.... First world problems I know :p

Oh and waxed her :)

I finally got the new KM2's mounted up then road tested them hauling the kayaks to the river...

That's why I clarified west bound. I'm lucky to hold 55-60 going east.

I was also just at the top. Past the summit exit where it flattens out before the last short pitch by the plow facility. Came over the hill and he was just waiting in the middle. Once I saw him start to move I just pulled over. I will say I'm glad I don't have a ticket to prove it.

I've been doing the drive fairly often so I'm running stock tires. Base timing is up at 8 Degrees ( about), 91 octane and an EMS exhaust. It stays in third gear at about 3500 rpm. It's no rocket, but it doesn't seem to stress it out either.

Not the best paint job out there but I love it ... finally primed my cruiser and doin matte clear coat this weekend , I used john deere's blitz black on black accents great finish goes great w the primer flatness.

Also fixed 3 out of the 5 oil leaking spots in my engine , just waiting for my rear main , and plugs grommets to knock out the other two leaks

And yeah I know I need tires XD

Went wheeling in the Tillamook State Forest. That area is huge, we spent two days and only covered half the intermediate trails! Great fun with my brother.
