Installed a new OEM P/S pump and OEM hoses in the LX. I rebuilt the original pump w/ a Gates kit 33K miles ago but it's been making weird noises and leaking again. I installed a Napa high pressure line at the same time and it was also leaking pretty bad. I'm going to stick w/ OEM when the time comes for the '97.

Loaded up the wife, bro-in-law, dog and cat, plus all the gear that goes with. Drove from Toronto to Rhode Island. Averaged 17mpg for the trip.
Not bad for the old girl.
Got here just in time for a little snow. Who says Canada is cold and snowy!

So, spent the weekend putting new parts on the truck. Here is the list:
PHH - Bruised arms came with this install. It was a bugger! The old one was leaking and when I cut it open, it had several breaks that just had not gotten all of the way through. New silicone hose with SS clamps are on now!

Vacuum lines for EGR system - Removed my air intake manifold (top only) to replace all of the hoses underneath, along with my VSV, and coring through all of the small hard lines to make sure they were not plugged. Several were plugged. Went ahead and removed my EGR and soaked it in carb cleaner to get rid of some of the carbon build up. Nasty! Need a gasket to finish reinstalling my EGR valve and more vacuum hose too. Hoping this gets rid of my CEL.

Valve cover gasket - Removed and replaced my cover gasket and my spark plug seals, along with the plugs themselves.

Now to relax for the evening and find me a drink!

Oil and filter change... blah blah blah
Prop shaft grease
Knuckle grease added too.

Have done these several times, so I forgot. Made me try and thing of anything else I got done. Arms are SO sore from the PHH and oh yeah... the fuel filter. Man, I am tired.

Once again... need now! LOL!

Did some snow wheeling at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in PA. Ohh the slippery fun..lol My friend and i were the first group back, me in my 80 him in his 4Runner. When we signed out all the other groups, of Jeeps and LandRovers were calling her to be extracted..lol Made our day to hear that.

Ran over a snow covered boulder, put the new 4xInnovation cat protection to work! Worth ever penny on the first time out in them. The boulder got wedged between the front passenger wheel and I couldn't turn the wheel right. So with I just jacked up the front and pulled it out. took about 10 min. It was quite heavy. But no damage then I was back on the trail.

Dynomat'd both right doors. Installed two new Infinity speakers. Replaced both door lock actuators. Picked up a new Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth so the radio talks to my iPhone and iPad, hands free mic, Sirius xm, plays DVDs, HD radio, Pandora and other apps.

Still trying to figure out my speaker issue

Fit my CB into the ashtray spot, ran the CB cable to the back and installed SoCalFrank's antenna mounts. Just need to wire the neg. and pos. on the CB. Still waiting for my antenna via mail order.
