I appreciate it thank you! I think you main question is regarding the bumper which is totally custom (credit to @ExpoMax ). It is full custom besides the Jerry can holder is 4x4 Labs with some cheapo Jerry cans off amazon. MTB rack is a OneUp, but it opens up with the swingout. Can't give Max enough credit
got it, thanks for sharing/answering

Thought my cruiser was going to sit at my parents house in Colorado Springs until I found the time to yank the motor out of it to rebuild it. But I sold one of my other cars, so it came out of retirement to get me back to Aspen.

I had not driven it since I shut the door after getting back from Alaska. Fired right up and cruised up to Gunnison for a night and got up early yesterday and took Taylor Pass back to Aspen. Still purrs.

Engine needs a rebuild but it started up and purred after sitting for a while???

It has lower compression than I would like to see. And also, at 333,000 miles I feel like it is the smart thing to do. But it doesn't burn oil and with the supercharger it still drives great. Also I am using the rebuild word as an excuse to swap a 5 speed manual in :).

Nice 4runner😆
LOL! I am curious though on the decision to leave the rear deflector on the hatch after stripping the other stuff off. Love the look of the solid rear windows, but I'd be hard pressed to get rid of mine as I love both the venting/extra airflow most of the year and the easy access to the rear.

Fantastic looking rig...love the color and looking forward to seeing it back in running gear!

Anyone in the Bay Area have PN 4342 60040 rear hub gasket?

I can’t seem to source one outside of a kit that will get one here by Thursday night. I can order a second Kit from Marlin Crawler, but hate to pay another $88 for a $2 part.

And or, is there a permatex solution. That will get me 1000 miles down the road till I get back from the trip?

I had someone use a permatex type solution once, but I swapped it for the gasket within a short period. I'm sure you'd be fine temporarily. You may even see if Napa has a gasket paper and you can make your own. I'd prefer an OEM solution, but you can figure that out when you're home.

What’s the name of the 10 year coating they used? They applied that to the undercarriage or the paint?
I believe he said it was Feynlab Industrial Coating. The entire undercarriage was treated

Have you tried the paper gasket for Aisin manual hubs? If that doesn't fit then just make one using thin cardboard and use a very thin layer of RTV on both sides. Good luck & enjoy your Mojave desert trip!

Thanks for sharing. Funny thing is we actually worked with Feynlab way back when they were just coming around, not their undercoatings but their ceramic paint coatings. They came out and applied the stuff to a few of our cars so we can test them out long term. I don’t think they even had those products on the market yet.
