I got my 80’s playmate (my 2012 XTerra Pro4-X) an ARB bumper, a Badlands 9.5K winch, and some skid plates from Z1 so that we can have two rigs when we go out to play.

My 80 is having a new rear main seal, front hubs repacked, a new Warn 10K winch, and new rear brakes installed by AJ. I can hardly wait to have it back and get them both out on the trail. Photos of my 80 being worked on are courtesy of AJ.

Well, what I did with my 80 this week/weekend is bought it. My 3rd locked 80 (93/97/95). I've had two 100's as well and still have a built, locked 2005 for my Moab trail vehicle I beat up on (and ski trip vehicle).

6/1995 build date which included the chrome mirrors and door handles (for build dates 5-95 to 12-95), fully cosmetically restored. 2 owners, California rig, stripped completely down, new paint, new flare rubbers, interior completely gutted with new leather front and middle rows, stripped and refinished wheels with new 285 K03's and a brand new 2" lift. Looking forward to this one! Good to have another locked 80 in the collection! I've heard the new K03's have trouble being balanced so we'll see. May yank those and slap my preferred K02's on it. Have had 4 sets of K02's with zero balancing issues even after heavy trail use in Moab.

On its way to me in central Missouri. The seller put my AirTag in it. Has been fun tracking it.

Got my front gears installed, pinion depth correct, preload within spec, pattern was looking good, I pulled her apart for the final cleanup for assembly, and the f'ing thing rolled off my table hit the hard concrete floor in the garage, checked it and no apparent damage, then I noticed my carrier adjuster wasn't working smoothly. I had dented the corner of the diff where the bearing caps sit, and it destroyed the threads..... anyway, I just ordered a new empty 3rd from marlin, and I have a nice snow pic from Camp Sherman, OR to calm me so I don't throw a wrench at anything.

Happy Trails to you...

Ha, that's the one from BAT. I'm very curious to get your feedback on the condition of the rig. Having grown up in Miami, I am always suspicious of sellers based there, specially flippers. Is that a Slee bumper on your 100? Nice garage!
Valley Tech rear bumper. Ironman front bumper. Excellent condition so far after my 30 minute look over. California rig and Jhoandry has restored a few. Really happy with it so far. I'll start giving it the head-to-toe once over later this evening. It's my 3rd locked 80 so I know them well. I always enjoy digging in on a new one.
