Changed the oil
  • Shell Rotella T6 5W-40
  • Toyota YZZD3 filter
Getting the old Toyota filter off was a real pain. Dealer did the last oil change. Had to resort to this contraption to get it off

Installed a new oil level sender gasket. Old one was brittle and had to chip it out

I had a mobile locksmith cut me 2 extra keys with the funky groove. Both work great.

I found a guy thanks to mud that cuts them based on pictures on eBay. $25 for 3 keys. Work awesome.

The dry graphite seems to have done the trick.

I watched my daughter wash it

Hi everyone,
I just thought I would say thanks for the support in these trying and suck times for me. The community in IG has been so supportive as well. Still no word on my rig and as of yesterday the detective hasn't even looked at the video footage from the cameras at Home Depot. That doesn't sound encouraging. It's weird because all of these photos here and IG are so nice to look at but painful as well 😳
Hopefully, no one here ever has to go through this. My whole life was in there.
Take care.

Definitely sucks losing a rig y you have poured so much time into.

Start building another one, make it better.

and don't leave it in a store parking lot with all your belongings in it. All those times I had my stuff stolen was because even with tinted windows my stuff was easily seen. Get a blanket or tarp and keep your car looking basic. People with tons of stickers on their rigs, guess what, thieves see that as a better target. Especially if they are high end brands.

We learned this back in the day of amazing stereos and crappy alarm systems. You want to drive a 90s vehicle, you need to think like a 90s person. We didn't have tight window seals, complicated electronics, immobilizers, and boring SUVs. We had cars you could pop the clutch to start if your battery died.

(and we had guns and bats to my violent peeps here. Never murdered anyone, but we ****ed some s*** up when needed)

Is Friday the weekend?

Took a Dodge ram to the rear quarter panel and slee bumper today.

Thinking the damage is pretty minimal.

Initial observations: Bumper is a bit pushed in, gas tank door doesn't open, marker light is busted, turn signal has some cracks that were not there before, and the steering wheel is slightly off center now.

I will take it to a few shops for a good inspection, frame measurement, and quotes.

ok back to forum stuff
did a dash over haul starting with the replacement of the cracked dash pad. the po had someone repair the cracked dash by using bondo and paint. the problem was he used drywall screws to hold it down that were under the bondo I could not see. I did everything right to remove it and it would not budge. I finally went cave man on it and that's when I found the drywall screws. once I cut those it was out in minutes and the new one went back on in minutes.

That’s nuts man. Hey man where did you get a new pre 95 dash pad? I thought they’re long discontinued.

Small but mighty, finally made and installed a battery jump switch to trigger my red arc automatic battery separator. This forces the batteries together and allows the battery maintainer to charge both start and house battery on my 1hdt

Love that. My Red Arc kit just arrived today.

Did you make the switch bezel/cover yourself with the engraved wording? Or is that something you can buy?
