Couldn't find a relevant thread to share this, but got the repair estimate today. Of course, irrelevant to their valuation of the truck, but came back just shy of $28,000. So, yeah, she's certainly totaled!
Cant believe they even gave you a number! Did they give you a buy back price?

Youve had a helluva couple weeks!!! Hope it all gets better for ya!!

I believe my buyback is $500, which I will easily get back from what I can sell.

Didn't know if I should mention it before, but I also lost my dad at the end of October. Super open about it, so no worries, and the overall feeling is peace. He was a truly great man. Needless to say, I'm ready for a damn break! There must be a silver lining somewhere..

So sorry to hear that man, and to hear about your 80. I almost lost my dad a couple years ago, cannot imagine. Wish you the absolute best. Glad that you are alright after that wreck.

Swapped in some new rear lower links from @Delta VS

Well I bit the bullet after the inner axle seal started leaking…. the job so far is comparable to birthing a calf.

From what I can tell, I dont think they have ever been serviced before. Passenger side looks good (but replacing the bearings/seals/wipers). Driver’s side axle bearings were very dark/discolored and confirmed the inner axle seal was torn.

Thoughts on whether the half-shalf/CV’s should be replaced since its showing some discoloraration where the bearings roll inside? (CV bearings seam solid but have slight discoloration)

It was a nice one. That’s a big loss.

I bought the Ruff Stuff toe alignment brackets and did my toe today.

Prior to adjusting toe was set at:
65 1/2 rear
64 3/4 front

After adjustment:
65 rear
65 1/8 front

Yes I know I have toe out but like it being a little more responsive. The steering wheel returns to center so much easier now too.

Instead of using the lug nuts I sourced some 12Mx1.5 nuts at Lowes, PN: Item #550617 |Model #884902

Also after adjusting the toe my steering wheel was off center to the right. So I pulled into the driveway and backed up and pulled back into to assure the LC was tracking straight as possible. Disconnected the arm from the passenger knuckle, started the LC moved the steering wheel to center and readjusted the ball joint. After some trial and error the steering wheel is straight.

Once I was done with the LC I moved onto my wife's 4Runner. Previously it had the raptor lights in the grill and I really did not care for them, so I took them out today. Personally I think it is a lot cleaner looking without them. Once I get the grey fascia either wrapped or replaced with the ones from a TRD Pro (black) it will look a lot better.

AFAIK those are marks from production, not wear.

FYI I could have aligned it at work. But great job! And that silver portion un clips from the bumper. Just dip it black.
