Lastly, got all my sway bar bushings replaced and I'd say it was due:

I didn't do anything major on my LC this weekend except clean/oil the sunroof rails for smoother action...and ordered window visors via WellVisors.

Just waiting on them to arrive 👍

We like to have the steering wheel on the other side of the car, and these things are rare in the UK, so I got to get the carpet from Aus - it's complicated. Will order this year and get her done

Ahhh I see. I've owned mine over 2 years with no carpet. But was shocked at how much some insulation helped with heat( did the front floor boards last year)

added a little more chip/rust protection as well as a bit of antislip to the WKOR sliders before they get installed.

Have not had the best of luck with powdercoating for long-term rust control and have found a couple of coats of RockerGuard adds a lot more durability…. and when it starts to look too bad, just give it a light sanding followed by another coat.

Rebuilt my entire hand brake / ebrake with new shoes, fittings, bell cranks, equaliser and cable

All genuine Toyota parts and adjusted correctly to FSM spec

Was totally useless...

Ordered the Superior Engineering hand brake lever modification + Terrain Tamer extended dog bones from Australia. Fitted today. Now the ebrake works better than factory

Would you mind posting which company in Australia you use? I have a RHD over here on the other side of the pond. Thank you.

My old 4xInnovations sliders had gaping openings and I was always worried that a human or a dog would slip and break a leg. I got some expanded metal, and with some cutting and welding and grinding, I solved the problem...one one side of the vehicle. I ran out of time to finish. It's also too cold to paint so I will have to deal with that when it ever gets warm enough.View attachment 3276790

After a wet spring and a trip to Death Valley, there was some light surface rust on the bare metal and a cat skidplate scratch. Took the sliders off, Ospho'd, primed and painted, and reinstalled.

Hi Sam

This is the lever mod:

Various folk make slightly longer dog bones to spread the shoes a bit more at the top at rest. It's only 1 to 2 mm bigger but makes a lot of difference. I ordered the Terrain Tamer ones and they're high quality

Superior Engineering sell direct but they have minimum order complications and their shipping was bizarrely expensive, so I bought the same parts from these guys:
