Got the sheep skins on. My Korean Air buddy recommended them. He does regular ICN-LAX hauls in the A380s. A sheep skin covered seat is a critical part of how he stays comfortable in the office.

They regulate body temp really well. I get up around 5AM most days and the skins give me a bit of warmth and coziness in the cooler mornings. Afternoons heat up quite a bit here in LA and I'm pleasantly surprised how well it stays cool where my cow leather seats struggle.

I never thought I'd rock sheep skins, but it matches well with the vintagey 80. I highly recommend ussheepskins.com.

Chased down that squeaky idle sound. Dry worn AC belt idler pulley, temp fixed packed with Lucas red now its quit as can be. Ordered new Wits End factory pulley and belts, thanks @NLXTACY

Installed the new factor 55 flat link, so stoked @Delta VS is carrying Factory 55 :hillbilly:

Raven Tai flushed the power steering system

Added a whistle to the air compressor..... Why not right :flipoff2:

I just made one prototype out of thinner aluminum that was easy to manipulate and contour. Used that make the final piece out of steel. Wasn't too bad...much more enjoyable to drive now

Taking it to my guy today for a once over. This is a trial period so we'll see if he calls anything wild out. My theory is it was a swap, so they got a new one, swapped the terrible tires on it, and took the shaft. It was obviously driven, oil change last year, lots of candy and chips in the back like it was a parents car.

If it's having issues going into park (grinding noise?) I suspect that the CDL is not locked, allowing the front t-case output to still spin when you're stopped. I'd lock the CDL (put it in low range, wait for CDL light, pull CDL fuse, put back in high range) and try driving again. If it's been driven for a while with the CDL unlocked and no front driveshaft you could have t-case issues (on top of whatever front axle issues necessitated removing the front driveshaft...)

Haven’t got that far, but I don’t think they will. But I dont think that matters unless you are planning to install the oem horizontal switches in the slots in the dash/instrument panel. I will just use (or add) a hot wire (and possibly a relay?) that turns on with the ignition to feed the seat heater switches.
 
So, I track my fuel pretty religiously. When I bought the hdj81, based on fuel costs and mpg's I was paying about $.20 a mile to drive.

With current fuel costs it's now $.32.

On an average week that's an extra $80 in fuel.

Last year I bought a motorcycle for errands and commuting to save gas and keep the miles of my rig. The motorcycle gets 53mpg and even it is getting expensive to drive now.

For me, with as many cars as I own, it doesn't make sense to buy a gas sipping dd. I've tried it. It always ends up sitting because I hate driving them.

The weather here isn't conducive to a year round motorcycle.

I made it through the 2008 gas mess driving an f350. I'll make it through this lol.

My last three tanks have all been over 16.5 mpg's so that's a plus
