Damn my truck needs some WD40!

Sounds like mine.

I haven't been on Strawberry Pass since before they closed it.

It's a really nice trail. However I find it super long and boring to go all the way out to 88 and it makes it a long drive back home. So I wheel the first half from 50 then turn around and go back out. I like the first half better as that's where all the rock gardens are, after that it's a long boring dirt road.

But that's part of my shortcut between HWY4 and HWY50!

Strawberry/Deer Valley/Slick Rock would be an awesome weekend. You ever done Pardoe/Squaw Ridge? That was another one that closed around 2013 and was the last to finally open back up. It's been on my list to check out.

I have not. Near Mud lake/Kirkwood, right?

Yeah that's right. It's very close to the Strawberry exit at 88 near Caples. Pink route is Strawberry @ 88. Blue line is Deer Valley. Pardoe is bottom left.

Oh this is awesome, may I ask what you use for mapping / GPS and saving trails like this? I follow your IG and have been trying to identify some of them!

I use Gaia. But the routes and waypoints are countless hours of mapping out trails and saving routes I've done. Those you gotta find yourself as a rite of passage

I just wander around lost most of the time.

Just downloaded - will give it a try! Do you also use any GPS device when service is low or just offline downloadable maps?

I come from a backpacking background so movement is much slower and trails are picked out way ahead of time due to permitting. #newb

Haha I did a lot of that several years back and found some cool spots, but now I can't for the life of me remember where I was. So I like to map and save routes for future reference.

Yeah I've just been downloading offline maps and it's worked well. Tried using a tablet for a while, but it was too old and underpowered and was super choppy using Gaia, so now I just use my phone.

Yep, jacked on the breaker bar many times. Don't tell the safety inspector!

I have used Gaia and onx a bunch. I think onx is much more user friendly. Plus here in Utah the fish cops use onX so it makes me feel confident when I am hunting close to boundaries and or driving on questionable routes.

Not 80 specific but some maintenance on one of our soobs, window control thingie...
