Alright, today was take 2 on my fan clutch swap. The only way I was able to get those stubborn nuts out was with violence! And a chisel 😂

Now the new blue fan clutch from Land Tank is in, and I can feel the difference in the amount of air flow in the engine bay!

But now I created a new problem, the belts are squeaking, a lot!
Did I misaligned something when I did the install or did I just torque the nuts to the water pump too tight?
TIA

Sounds like hammer time = new water pump time.

Stop, hammer time!

Hopefully tracked down and fixed my last 2 coolant leaks and while cleaning my windshield I heard the distinct "crunch" sound from my cowl. Decided to remove it and wow..... few min vacuuming and cleaning and she's good to go..

Check your cowl people leaves and water are not a good combo in there 😕

It’s same as on 5th gen 4Runner or Lexus GX460. Toyota Part #: 47750-60300 - LH, 47730-60300 - RH

Mine calipers from ‘09 Lexus GX460
Soooo....so they bolt up?

Finally getting to the knuckle rebuild. It was a mess. The lock nuts were loose enough to undo by hand:oops:. The combo of grease and Alabama clay(from PO) has been a pain in the arse to clean. It's tougher than concrete snot to remove and it's on everything underneath, but no rust thank goodness. Planning to remove and rebuild starter and change out PHH while I'm in there.

Man I am excited. Thanks @RuggedBound for bringing this fantastic product stateside. Quality is in a league of its own, make ARB's and the like feel like a joke. Amazing product and customer service as well. These make all the difference on multi-day trips, can't wait to put them to good use.

@RuggedBound ….when will these be available again for 80’s (website says out)? How much assembly required? Looks like a great product.

Well, past 2 weekends…

WNOR sliders bolted on…as advertised, they are perfect out of the box and fit snug. (haven’t looked yet, but what do you LX guys do with the front fender gap where running boards used to mate up…modify a LC mud flap?)

Changed diff oil from Nitro gears break in. Like 2 metal flecks total in rear with none in front after about 900 miles. Went with synth 80-140W GL5 as Nitro recommends.

Completed installs for GMRS radio including custom antenna bracket from the Archer brothers (@POTATO LAUNCHER and @BombCity).

Replacement sound system. JVC head unit cause can’t get Pioneer right now. Focal door speakers and Kicker sub box with amp…the stuff I couldn’t afford when I was 16.

New shoes ordered. Should go on next weekend.

Sheila still takes a shine pretty well after all these years. Got a clay kit, compound and wax; trying Mother's CMX ceramic coat. I'm interested to see how well it lasts vs. all my years experience of paste wax... Seems to have a great bead from the afternoon rain showers, and easier to apply! Found missing bolts for the rear bottom of the PS front fender. One bolt broken off that will need to be extracted. :bang: Oh well... Fixed the horn (loose screws), adjusted hood (loose bolts), and fixed sticky driver's door switch. Kind of nice not having a complicated weekend with her!
