Over the last week I replaced the water pump, hoses, thermostat, and radiator. It was bitch and a half and I cussed the cruiser more times than I should but it's done with only one small leak from over clamping the water bypass hose from the thermostat to the water pump. It's temporarily plugged by clamping over the hole and not leaking. Will get it replaced shortly. Otherwise it runs and doesn't leak. **** 'n A what a job. Hope to not do that again. But the cruiser lives!

Is that out by Tierra Verde?
Yes, just past Tierra Verde. Enjoyed a great little French restaurant and then enjoyed the sunset. Great spot.

Just got this.....

Locked, rust free and ready for a new life. :)

Cheers
Something's missing, maybe it's just me. YMMV. Wow, that's the way to baseline a cruiser! Might as well bring it a few more steps. Heck, I'd probably blast it and galvanize it. Like a uhaul trailer, last forever. Or, just build it. Great start!

My original 246k mile front oxygen sensor was responding pretty sluggish so I swapped in a new one. It wasn't bad enough to trigger a CEL yet, but it was quite slow to respond. Hopefully the increased cross counts will help mileage a bit too.

Might have responded in IG but yeah this made a HUGE difference in my mileage. Went from 10-11 MPG to 16-17 MPG. Was so ecstatic to get that much of a boost.

Grew up off 4th St and 83rd Ave over by Weedon Island. Folks lived out in Tierra Verde for a few years before they moved to Georgia. Thought it looked familiar!

This is how you’re supposed to fix it right??

There was even a guy that ran up with a fire extinguisher and put out the initial flame underneath the Jeep but it started right up again in about 10 seconds...at least he tried.

That’s my pops blue Chevy 2500 which was even closer to the Jeep than the cruiser. First time to ft. Fisher in NC and that happened for my dads bday!

On another note, are these the only acceptable Jeep pics on MUD :hmm:
