This last week I had some parts come in from Iron Man 4x4 and @NLXTACY. I got 30mm spacers from Iron Man and then I got the ABS delete plugs and I also deleted the ABS harness from the truck. Getting the harness out really cleaned things up a lot.

Just got a pic of my new fr Bumper, luke hooked it up stretced it for the red winch upped the base steel for the weight and did a few little things so Its not a carbon copy. @4x4labs killed it 1 week turnaround and its on a freighter inbound. my old 4x4labs setup is up if someone needs it.

I'm admittedly not the best with wiring so I sent my 80 to EJ Wireworks in Temecula to finish up a dual battery setup.

Basic setup with a 7622 ACR, ARB twin on a Wit's End QPM, ARB switch mounting in a ashtray insert, and the 7622 control switch to the dash. Pretty pleased with the outcome:

Since I now stock the 1FZ power steering pump rebuild kit : 80 Series 1FZ Power Steering Pump Rebuilt Kit

...figured I might as well rebuild my own pump. Then I start goofing around with some ideas and testing some materials, and made a Wits’ End version of Jim’s (@midfat) badass original idea and made a gear handle out of wood then ABS. Settled on ABS and cut out a bunch of them because it’s just too damn handy. Negates the need for a leather glove and nut comes off and on crazy easy.

Was a good time! First went to Azusa OHV to ha g out with some buddies, then after being offered beer and BBQ I headed to Riverside! Good times!

5,047.88 miles. Almost 4 weeks. More fun than I deserve. And as a decadent American, lots of gallons of gas without a care of mpg.

Then parked her... I’ll be back.

That’s pretty much exactly what I was going for, but I didn’t have a 3D printer, Solid Works or an engineering degree, so a 2x4 is the closest I could get. Excellent job capturing my vision!
