if we are talking dashes, i actually prefer the 80 dash layout to the 200 series. The 200 tucks buttons up by your left knee so you can't see them and have to literally come to a stop and look down there to engage them.
In the last 4 weekends my 80 has taken me from a 45 mile canoe trip on the Delaware River in upstate NY, to a week of Boy Scout summer camp in PA, to 1200 miles South to Port St. Joe, FL. Towed a trailer the whole way and hasn’t missed a beat.
Funny experience - today I was in a tackle shop on Cape San Blas in FL when a guy sticks his head in the front door and loudly shouts, “who owns this Land Cruiser?”. “I do” I replied. Still shouting, he says “that thing is FREAKING AWESOME!” and turns and walks out. That’s it, no further conversation. He was gone by the time I got out to the parking lot.

Other than the trip itself, I thoroughly enjoy getting ready for the trip itself and having things all organized. Granted none of these organization survives after the first night . Family of four so we take a bit of stuff, and this time for a 2 week trip to CO.
I'm really digging the DIY attic's utility, but i still have to see how it holds up once offroad.

what is the advantage of fusible link extension??
Got a new fan clutch and replaced fluid with 15k oil
Just ordered mine earlier this week. Can't wait to get it installed.

Less stress on the fusible links.
Let's you keep the fusible links/starter connection outside the battery box when you have a battery with terminals beyond the reach of the cables. Trying to stretch those connections doesn't work too well as the hole doesn't accommodate that black box and the cables just aren't long enough.
