@slow95z do you have one of these things that hold the throttle cable? I wondered why mine was resting on the valve cover. Obviously there is something that attachs to the motor somewhere to hold it up.

Looks like pair was removed. The factory bracket doesn't fit so good without it but yes I have some.

I could use one as well. Tried to make one but...:(

@a_traut_man
If you, or anybody else, wants a yellow clip let me know. I will be home in a about 10 days and would mail one for nothing. I bought a 10 pack online. I've read one can get them at good auto body shops but I have a bag of them.

Thanks for the offer, definitely interested! I tried ordering some from a couple different places but none ever actually fit (all too small).

Ahhh. That makes sense. I bet I have it still then. Or is there one for the 95-97 that works. Similar to how you can change the coolant pipe on the left side if you remove the PAIR.

Stopped by a rack shop in bend Oregon for a few old parts. Drive up and there's an 80 in the shop! Met a cool dude & mudder (@Zephyr ) who hooked it up with some parts for the RTT I'm going to pick up in Redding Monday from @reevesci as long as the fire doesn't evacuate him!

Got back to where I'm staying and found a worn pass rear tie rod causing a LOT of play on the driver's wheel. Going to have to wait until I'm back in Seattle unfortunately. Also found an oil leak at the power steering pump/block transition. I just put a new o-ring in 600 miles ago!!

Also noticed no grease on the front half of the passenger side axle ball. I know it's packed well In there though. Just rebuilt the axle with the motor. :bang:

I fabbed up something and it is not elegant at all. Like, I am embarrassed to even show you what it is. Mine is even worse because of the abs and charcoal canister being removed.

Will check out an obd2 part truck this afternoon and see how it is routed factory

My AC went out again, after replacing/repairing most of the system last summer :bang:. Took a closer look last night, it appears the new Denso condensor is leaking. I recharged it to confirm the leak. If so I am just inside the warranty period...

You've seen my 93 right? The motto is: anything I do to it I want it to be "less sh!tty!"

Interesting...that O ring when you install the PS pump to the block isn't an oil seal. It is more of an environmental seal from outside water/dirt from getting into the gear mesh for the pump. The oil is probably coming from someplace else and then dripping through that seal.

All the brackets are already gone from my obd 2 rigs. Sorry. I am sure someone can grab a pic for you of what it should look like.

Some 15+ years ago, my AC quit working. Trying to diagnose and repair the system always seemed like a insurmountable problem and since I lived up in the PNW where cooler temps are the norm, I just chose to focus on other repairs and projects. Well, that kinda became a pimple past due after moving back to Texas (temporary I hope) and this heat. So, had some free time and the factory manual and decided to start digging. About 15 min in to the sluething and wth do I find but a busted ect sensor. Fell apart in my hands when I toched it. Unplugged from the remnants and the compressor engaged and ran ice cold. I did check pressures and all was good. Feeling happy but damn stupid for being intimidated and for procrastinating. I do need to put in a new sensor still but right now just can't believe I have AC again.

Rebuilt the front axle, had death wobble and couldn’t turn lock to lock at idle, could feel the old trunnion bearings were really knotchie once I pulled the tie rod ends off and free turned the knuckle back and forth. So rebuilt super smooth again no more death wobble. Also left the condoms off the brakes

Ok so this was technically a few weeks ago, but still over the weekend ;). Had some 285 Cooper Discoverer ATPs installed and took the fam camping on Chincoteague Island! Love the look of 285s compared to the outgoing 265s and the Coopers run nice and smooth.

Rig looks nice..but man that place looks crowded. Went to a regional park yesterday and it was almost full too.. in the middle of Minnesota even!

Yeah this is pretty typical for east coast, DC area camping... always crowded. Makes me miss living in AZ and near Big Sur.
