Eastwood internal coating. Spray it into the frame at various points until it is seeping out the holes. The Eastwood comes with a flexy multidirectional spray nozzle to get into the frame areas that are harder to reach. It's leaks out green though. If you are going to do it, recommend painting after like I did.

I did the same on my 03 Tacoma dand it turned out great. I plan on attacking the 80 this fall. The Eastwood product is pretty neat and definitely gets everywhere.

The Arizona guys use Tools r us modded clutches. I rarely see 200° in the middle of the summer pulling 7% grades in 110° plus temps.

Hard to beat 39.2° AC vent temp and cool water temps

Where can I find one of these clutches. I live in West Texas and in the 100 degree heat I noticed the AC kicking off today as it should when it over heats . I need to address this as I also spend a ton of time in big bend .

Explored around terlingua and big bend national park. Camped a little at this spot...it was amazing. Still having overheating problems though...even with brand new radiator I was getting to over 220* on highway hill climbs. Cooled right back down on the downhills... Not sure what it could be

Mine gets hot every time I wheel it hard in the middle of the day in bed bend and Everytime I drive up to camp in the chisos mountains. I wind up having to turn my AC off to get the temps back down which isn't fun in big bend .

Got some aluminum deck plate from my freightliner I may try and repurpose for the 80.

Supposedly the wits end blue fan clutch helps lower temps around 10 degrees, which would keep me in the clear. I'm also considering hood louvres in conjunction with that to release some of the heat.

Fan clutch will make night and day difference....you will lose a little power when it is fully engaged.

I've thought about louvres myself. I did purchase a blue hub asain fan clutch which seems to have helped a little. But yesterday I drained all coolant and replaced with liquid cascade and distilled water. I ran it hard with that in it today so I will drain it and repeat a few times until it's clean and the refill with coolant. If that doesn't help then new radiator, water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, and belts will all go in.

Honestly it doesn't look bad from that picture. Not sure how the frame or interior looks but if it isn't ruted out and it runs good I would think about it. Especially if everything works as it should. Plus it's the best color .

If you don’t buy it, give me the guys number please. I will buy it. I need another one.

Dude I’d buy it.. my first 80 was a maroon 94, I dig the color! Be a cool weekend driver

Wow the slee shocks sure don’t look like they aged well. How long have you had it? Steel body? Looks like rust on the body.[/QUOTe
they cleaned up perfectly like new

My truck has decided that it is a believer in equilibrium. A few weeks back when I did the rear axle overhaul, the gas vapor canister gave up the ghost. Then when I did the front axle, the starter motor checked out. Last week I finished the brake system overhaul and today I find 2 busted U-joints on the rear prop shaft..:frown:. I don't have any spares so had to pull the rear shaft and lock out the CDL - front wheel drive is a weird thing on a cruiser. Least I know what I am doing next weekend.:bang:
which charcoal can did you get to replace I replaced mine with a used one and it dosnt work either
