Absolutely necessary mod if you're in the desert.
X10Cannot say enough good things about the land tank modified blue hub fan clutch a la wits end.
I used safety restore, pretty happy with results.Failed inspection because of my frayed drivers side seat belt. Replaced with the 3rd row belt and passed now I cant remember the company that is re webbing them? Help
Glad Remora worked so well for you, that was my whole intent with it as I used my Treds last year to rescue folks stuck in snow (super bad winter) and the last thing I wanted to do on the side of the road in traffic as everyone slid by was standing there unbolting stuff. That and putting them away covered in snow and ice was a PITA, so... yes, necessity was the mother of inventionGot a call last night at midnight from a buddy, he was very stuck and 3 hrs away in the middle of nowhere. Got there at 3am and took an hour to pull him off the edge. Only thing preventing his truck from rolling down the hill were some straps tied to trees. We had to get very creative with using the winch and ended up needing traction boards on all 4 tires.
Wanted to give a huge shoutout to @cruzerDave and his Remora product --> Land Shark Outfitters
We were struggling to get traction on the tires and figured I might as well bust out mine boards out too. My buddy was hesitant thinking it would take me a while to unmount them (his are bolted on to the rack directly). Before he finished talking I had popped them out and put them under his tires.
Got him up and off the edge, and we headed back to town happy but exhausted. I love my land cruiser!!
I gotta do all 7 too, hope the pb blaster helps. Not a successful day. I had planned to replace all my calipers and soft break lines. Calipers were easy as expected but I am 0 for 7 on the brake lines. There isn't a spec of rust under my car so this surprised me to say the least. I didn't want to force them and compromise the solid lines so I am about to throw in the towel. I hit the joints with some PB blaster and will have one more go tomorrow.

I do but I couldn't find it. A few of my tools are not where they should after we moved from CA to FL. I think I will stop by an auto shop in the morning and see if I can pick one up.Do you have a 10mm flare nut wrench? Should help a little transferring the torque into the fitting.
Installed 10% underdrive tcase gears thanks to Georg Esterer for the parts and Highcountrycruisers for the excellent workmanship on the install.
This coupled with 25% low range and 4.88 on 40s really makes a great package. Check it out
If your around Im hitting moab in a week Ill give you a great patch to add, your call. JailBreak Overlander up top break out and xplore bottom thats an actual artist drawing of my 80 sew up nicely.Aussie locker will be a nice, inexpensive mod. I had one in the rear diff of my '93. They work great in these trucks. Also, your Rover buddy doesn't get credit for going that far up the ramp since his front tire is about a foot off the ground.Your LX flexes better than that Disco. If he's got lockers in it, I'm sure those hard lines you guys were doing would have been you pulling him through if he had open diffs. In a moment of weakness I actually owned a Disco for a while. Ack! never again. No comparison to an 80.
