Installed. Paint correction can wait until it warms up. Good enough for now.

Popped in a new 90189-04014 for the virgin run. Nice to carve my own threads into something for once :)

What?? It's still winter up there? I escaped to Thailand until it gets green again there. So let me know when that is so I can come back

Visited that rarest of beasts: an 80 in a parts yard. LX450 form.

I snagged:

Outer driver’s side fender that was damaged in my accident. Not perfect, but I can work out the small dents. It’s getting Durabak’d anyway. Key for me is the corner light fitment. Base color match.

Distributor. And the owner had clearly just done all of the engine hoses and the heater valve so I took everything I hadn’t replaced recently including the valve.

What was interesting was seeing all of the interior stuff gone quickly, but only the radiator core support from the engine bay. Just about everything was still in there.

A solid set of goods for $85.

Did a bunch of cooling hoses. Then flushed several times with distilled before adding proper Toyota red. Also installed a new drag link. Did the tie rod a few weeks ago.

Amazon some racing outfit.... HPS products
use OEM clamps if your running HPS on the bottom hoses as they will leak.

For the Northern LA County folks,

Did Rowhler trail up from Sierra highway this morning with my newish 285 Falken Wildpeak a/t3w's. These tires performed.

Don't have pics cuz I was alone going up and didn't wanna stop (lots of bikes lapping me). At the top, did some bushwhacking looking for minerals / gold indicators. Too many ticks on my pants so I stopped the bushwack.

On the way up only 2 places I had to go into 4low. (probably cuz of my error in the line of entry). I really wanted to get up the whole way without 4low.

Then back down through Bouquet Canyon for a grocery shop.

Cheers!

Good to know those Falken's are working for you. I have the same and so far only used them in the snow in Minnesota and yeah, they are awesome!!!
