Today is my Saturday. Took the cruiser for a little drive on a muddy road.

Only action shot of the cruiser was of the hood.

Does this contraption also keep it from opening too far and bending like the PO did mine? :bang:
Not really, it pops open better than the old one and does have a little stop built in, but I can see it breaking as soon as someone accidentally pushes the door just a bit too far. Once that's done its free to bend the door....I have seen many bent because of that reason.

Finally took the time to make a harness for my Hella Sharptones. Pieced it together from a bunch of wiring I had laying around from the harness for the HIDs on my wife's car and also from the Slee harness I just removed. It's nice to be able to honk at assholes on the road again!

Finally got the SWR low enough on my cb. Temp mounted it in the dash, I kind of want to make a overhead console type thing. Dunno yet. Been thinking about it since the headliner is out.

Still have lots of clean up to do on this interior.

Just remove the leather cover from the shifter. It's not worth saving and the shifter is covered in nice rubber.

Drove my truck to work and then to the trails. I hadn't been on real trails in a long time and it felt great. I wish I could say the same for the Cruiser. Throttle position sensor is bad. I've got to wait till Tuesday to get the replacement.

I will, thanks for the tip. Im am working on it little by little when I am home and not in my 18 wheeler. It will have to wait till I get back from the east coast.

I used 2 rolls of baseball bat wrap. Worked great.

I was under the assumption that's just how CC worked in general. Every car I've ever driven, aside from those with adaptive CC, has worked that way. If you drive a manual, usually your clutch works as a cancel as well. TMYK.

USUALLY?!? That sounds like it would be terrifying if it didn't!

Ive been back from 27 day roadtrip and I have been busy, I pulled everything ie:fridge rear drawers winch dual batteries etc. and I am re configuring this is what I have done thus far.

Sweet singlespeed!
It's been a while too, since mine has seen a real trail. Effin' back injury:mad:.
I'm using this as inspiration!

Replaced my driver's side mirror after breaking it by not paying attention backing up in the Big Horn Mountains. Guess was to transfixed at the view. Pleasantly surprised by the $54 Amazon replacement. Easy install with no surprises and the build looks on point.

I tried to do the same thing today, but failed at it.

The 3 OEM bolts don't fit the new mirror. Gotta source those from PepBoys.
Oh, and my replacement is a bit different on the inside than the OEM mirror. There is a hole on the bottom, but no bolt to hold it in place. Different design I guess.
I wanted to replace the shell with the OEM one and can't seem to be able to take it apart without breaking it.
I guess it will stay black.

Pro tip

Talk to your wife first, before installing the mirror.

Otherwise she will tell you after you went to Pep Boys (wasting your time there looking for the right size bolts and washers) there are three bolts inside the box in case you need them.

Not great quality, but it only costs $46 on eBay.
