The Toyota green on the 80 series is the second worst mistake Mr. T ever did (as far as Land Cruisers, we won't discuss the Previa...), behind the burgundy color.
As a green 80 owner i have to agree; still better than a white heep!

I went to the beach with the family. I finally got to try out my foxwing awning and sand anchors.

Debate if this Chevy took an appropriate line or not.

I have studied this overnight and measured repeatedly, even made the :princess: have a look. We are in agreement all the lines, angles, geometry and such are picked perfectly.

Unfortunately it is your 80 in one of the videos where a switchback cut was traversed for the event. I think the concern there is that this organized event did so without permission (not the fault of participants following the route). If they had it, and necessary repairs were made afterward, great. Otherwise it is unwelcome damage to an already sensitive area.

Edit for thread relevance. I drove in the mountains. There was a rally going on nearby, but it was a great time.

Post that video! i wanna see it!!

Aha, so your the one running the new tapered wire Dobinsons. I knew they were en route and have been waiting to hear someone's thoughts on them.

In one word, AMAZING.

Installed them on Thursday afternoon; leaved for a 2000 miles trip on Thursday night.

After those 2000 miles, highway and trail ride all i can say is that this are the best springs i have ever ride with. I paired them with custom fox shocks.

I had OME 850/863 before ( 1" spacer up front ) and the new coils (with 1" spacer all around) give me 2" of height and probably 6" more of travel.

I had a lot of weight on the truck, and they behaved wonderfully.

Hello guys.

Just as Manny said, Zack and organizers made a really good job explaining what to do and what to avoid. Not only in 1, but in three emails BEFORE the rally the thread lightly topic was putted in the table; And again, in every meting DURING the rally.

I can speak for myself and my friends, who only followed the maps provided for the rally and under any circumstances new trails were open.

EVERYWHERE you go you will get Aholes that want to do what they want, and i can assure the Rally organizers disqualified many that didn't follow the rules.

Instead of bashing groups like Overland Tennessee, Bold Overland, etc. who care of cleaning the spots after off roading, that your same locals bash, focus on the real problems that are making most of the trails get closed. The super local red necks who are only useful to throw cans everywhere, talk sh1t and threaten visitors are a good example of this.

Thank you!!

From the Rally rules, they were awarded extra points for going off trail and tackling hill climbs and obstacles on private land. There are videos surfacing of Land Cruisers clearly off trail and tearing up everything in it's path. Although this was labeled a "rally" this became a race when slower drivers were holding up the faster drivers. The only way to make up that time was to go off trail or drive fast on the forest roads.

As more pictures and videos surface, this rally is providing the perfect ammo to get trails like this shut down.

This is how drivers got extra points on the Rally.

Stupid on full display in this video! This is exactly the type of garbage that will result in the closure of many, many more off-road trails! I get disgusted when we go out to an area that we cleaned up the week before, and already some "hillbilly red-neck" has thrown their couch and chairs, or busted up kids toys all over..... even though their are dumpsters (free to use) less than a mile away!!......... REMEMBER TELICO (RIP)

What's a Subaru doing there? Totally out of place. And if the Subaru can make it then the 80 is out of place.

lines curves those are just perfect

I think I'd have a heart attack as soon as I was lined up on my approach angle, and getting ready to hammer the throttle! Hopefully them pickups have good winches, so they can drag my lame ass home!

33x10.5x15 essentially 285 Im still rocking the factory wheels and will until I cant anymore.

I'm still on 15's too. I keep saying I'm going to get 16's, but then I think .... why? Lol.

I just haven't found a need to when I can still get 33s on 15s and for what I use the truck for there is no need to spend the money on it when I can spend it on something else.
