If you race and push the edge you will definitely find it. Part of the learning experience. Ask a professional race car driver how many times they have wrecked their vehicle by pushing too far. It is depressing and expensive when you wreck but it will happen.

Did one last adventure on bad wheel bearings. Then tore apart and rebuilt the front end. All of it, tie rods and all bushings.
She rides like a totally new truck!

So this happened this weekend. One step closer to my Memorial Day outing. @chap79 I am getting ready every day with little something here and there. My wife is in speechless at this point with so many things arriving by mail, or bought at the store.
I hope I can fit all that I need in there. The list is really long now. Damn, it's just one night WTH?

Arts n Crafts continues.

Pretty much ran out of gas so the seams on the main shell have to wait until Tuesday (long weekend here), worked on building and tacking some other parts in the mean time.

Honestly, lots of paper towels and some brake part cleaner worked well on the inner. However the outer of the housings took about an hour to knock off the old mud with a putty knife and a screwdriver just to get to the bolts to disassemble. Then I spent close to 4 hours per side scrubbing each side to get all of the old grime off. All of with using an assortment of grease removing products and wire and scrub brushes.

It is not, aftermarket.

I found it makes life much easier if you just soak the parts in a 5 gallon bucket of diesel.

Appearsnto have been a successful day!!

Yup went wheelin and campin with a few of our Dakota territory cruiser members. I did taco my front steering rod all the way up to the harmonic balancer. Had to beat it on a tree, beat it with a hammer and sleeve it with a highlift jack handle. So I couldn't steer again for about an hour...then went wheelin again.
