I was offered a couple set of sample rear slide drawers from one of my Aussie vendors yesterday.

I will be getting two sets of double rear drawers and wings for the 80, 100 and 200. The 100 set is going in my Esme 100 rig and the I will check fit in the 80 (wife's rig) and 200 (clients rig) and if I like I will make wings for the 60 series and possibly get those going.

Pretty excited to get these and check them out.

Are those the Titan drawers?
Enjoy the travels.

These are basically the same drawers, but not the Titans. My suspension guys knew of another company and got me in touch with them. Drawers are a little more expensive, but the shipping is a better deal on these and my suspension guys will let me combine my orders with the drawer company. No minimum order so shipping is extremely affordable on them now compared to the Titan shipping costs.

Those drawers look really nice? Are they heavy? That's one thing I've found with most of them is that extra weight added. I like how they look like they are flush with the seats folded down for a nice sleep platform.

Those would look great in the ol' 93 with the vinyl flooring, roof rack, sliders, and suspension... :grinpimp:

Approx 160# I think this is actual weight and not shipping weight. I'll weigh them when they arrive. IMO, a good quality product will weigh more. Unless they are all aluminum the weight will be there. Aluminum would be nice but $$$$.

I've built a few sets of drawers and just the plywood weigh sin around 120# plus all the slides and hardware.

Installed a lift, then did rear brakes and changed out the disc/drum and caliper on drivers rear. It helped having a "parts 80" close by. I haven't messed with this 80 much since getting it. PO evidently never considered changing brakes as the drivers rear the caliper was braking on the disc/rotor????? This 80 has a lot of work left to do.

NO MORE GETTING DOWN ON THE GROUND!!!! Should have bought one of these car lifts years ago.

Camping at the Sunset Mine, north of Joshua Tree.

Weathered out yet another storm in our local mountains. Lost power on Monday, and still not on. Burning plenty of propane in the Generator, and web surfed at Peet's yesterday, as we have no cable/internet. Made it to work today, so full internet, woo hoo.

The weekend fun with the truck:
  • Washed the layers grime from two Tahoe trips and two months of driving, then let the downpours of rain rinse off the truck. Not that you would have noticed 30 minutes later after driving to town.
  • Tinkered more with the Diesel Injection Pump to get the fueling where I want it, as I upped the boost to 25PSI. :grinpimp:
  • Installed Christmas-Present Mud Flaps. These were not expensive, and only minor trimming and three holes to mount in the factory holes when you have a 4x4Labs bumper. With all of the mudslides and storms, anything helps. Easily trimmed with an Exacto, and really flexible.

  • Installed a rear camera in anticipation of adding a new double-din headset. Ran the wiring all the way to the front, and have exactly three inches to spare! I wanted a stealth cam, and this definitely fits the bill. Interesting how the new black plates are green with the iPhone flash.
