Nothing too exciting but, I installed "Phase 1" of my dual battery setup: Slee waser bottle relocation and 2nd battery tray.

"Phase 3" will be installing Blue Sea ACR, breakers, wiring and of course the battery.

While I was in there, I replaced my water pump. It was making a whirring noise for the last year, and was over it. I also installed a new radiator shroud as mine was broken in 3 places. Way more quite in engine bay now, and I've completed the entire cooling system maintence (for the most part). Radiator, PHH, TB hoses, heater hoses, heater valve, thermostat, WP...and I think that's it.

Wired up some leftover led lights up on the roof and attempted to get her clean before she goes for sale

Why are you selling her? What did she ever do to you?

Made it home from my Colorado trip.

West Michigan to Ouray/Silverton then north to Rocky Mountain National Park, to Loveland to pick up my daughter, back to the NP, then south to Winter Park, then toward home.
3,614 miles total. Truck ran great, had a few moments where it scared the crap out of me thinking it had major issues but like a cruiser does, it just keeps going.
Definitely some things I would do different next time but for a first major long trip (over 1000 miles), it did great!
Gonna take 3 weeks to get her clean and back in shape.

Just over 3000kms into our road trip, all done with the US side, and in Vancouver for a few days getting a valve adjustment, and power rod mod done before we continue on home. Here's a few pics from the trip so far, Glacier National Park, and some stops along hwy 2 headed west.

My cheapest mod yet. Found this gun holder for use in a gun safe for 11 dollars, add a little double faced tape and you have the perfect place to keep a handgun. Also finished my rear bumper.

waterfalls. This time of year that is the only waterfall that is running.

Ram Mount on the grab bar.

A buddy of mine has this on his FJ and I really like it. The 80 cab area seems a bit more shallow and the phone feels kinda close to my face, ha ha

I like the grab bar location but not sure if it sticks out too much...will live with it for a while and see how it pans out.

Also, I cleaned the grab bar. Was fairly nasty!

After a epic road trip like that you better post more pics than just one of the 80 parked in your driveway!:hmm:

My fat ass finally made use of hauling that bike with my 80 all that way to "The Devils Backbone" outside of Loveland

Crappy pic but the group my daughter was with leading high school kids all over the US to do camps to help underprivileged people with basic needs- repairs, painting, wheelchair ramps, etc.

One week late, we pulled in the driveway last Sunday at 3am after driving 986 miles only stopping for food and fuel. Round trip was just short of 2600 miles, and the hardest I've ever wheeled the 80 over the course of the week. Always had it in the back of my head that it had to get me almost 1000 home, but there wasn't much we said no to as a group. Now it just needs more gearing.
