I just adjusted (down) the lspv about 3/16" to 1/4".
Will go for a test drive. A couple of weeks ago I brought the arm on the axle up by the same amount. I hope I get the rear to work a little harder.

Took a sawzall to my transfer case. Yes, you read that right.

The 97 case I put a part-time kit into on the bench has a mounting boss that interferes with my stock 94 over-frame exhaust..

This is before I put the skid plate back on so there is still room. With the skid on there was direct contact. Probably not good for transfer case fluid long-term:

So out-came the sawz-all..

The boss was for a vibration damper installed on later trucks with the under-frame exhaust.

Yes, I was a little nervous. But realistically I'd have to get probably 3/4" off track to breach the case interior.

Too damn hot today! Right now 91 F, and HUMID! So being the sticker whore that I am ....

Added a WIX Filters - 24801 Heavy Duty Air Filter Service Gauge also

:hmm:

Installed a new Pioneer Double Din head unit and added a subwoofer - all was very easy and no issues (did not bypass the factory AMP on my 96).

I was mainly tired of having an old nano ipod hooked up to a tape input, now I can stream from my phone. Figured why not get more bass too, $120 goes a long way with audio stuff these days and the subwoofer sounds pretty good, although not overly powerful at that price.

This morning I disabled (capped) the stupid PAIR system on the 93. Cut the PAIR bracket off the air filter canister to make room for the second battery box. Dropped the battery in and hooked up the fridge to it so it would be cold all day at baseball games.

Also realized I had an AC leak on the 92. So I added some freon to figure out where it was coming from. Score! The lines at the firewall. The O rings were toast so I replaced them and added freon. My daughter has been driving the 92 without air. I just thought she liked rolling with the windows down.

Picture of the battery in that location?

It will look like any 95+/96/97 with dual battery install. PS factory battery tray bolts straight in (minor trim near radiator may be required) once the air filter resonator junk is removed or relocated.

cheers,
george.

Don't judge my PAIR system block off. I didn't have the caps handy so Gorilla Duct Tape to the rescue.

You have to relocate the washer fluid reservoir to do it. Slew sells a kit for that.

Hey @bloc its just 2ga connecting the pos on each battery. And 2ga connecting the negative on each battery. Correct?

Carried Kayaks to the river to watch the Balloons launch

That is the most simple way to do it. I've seen mention of having an alternator wire going to the second battery as well to keep things even but I can't fathom what that wire would do that a 2awg wire connecting both batteries with fresh terminals wouldn't.

Some would also suggest running an additional ground from the neg post to the chassis but again.. I'm hoping that is covered by my 2awg connecting the neg posts to the ground on the driver's side.

It should be pointed out that this includes no isolation or anything.. if you drain one you've drained both and can't "jump" yourself. My main purpose for the duals was to have ample juice for the winch though.. and the high-amp isolators are pretty big money. This should work fine for now.

The way I see it two lead acid batteries cost less than one AGM.. I'll just throw new batteries in there every 3-4 years and bank on the low odds of a battery failure.

All of that said.. I'm NO expert. And so far it is working great. Seems to crank slightly more quickly, and most importantly nothing caught on fire yet.

I'm not concerned about draining both batteries. The marine battery will last a long time with only the fridge drawing off of it. And I have solar that I just need to mount my roof rack and will have that added bonus. I suppose I could add an isolator for added insurance...

Where did you run your 2ga wires? I was thinking of running them along the radiator (in front of them) but that seems to be pretty hot. But I guess it's only about 180-190 degrees so should be fine.

Took a few minutes and cut down the front bumper. The tabs on the sides were bugging me. Now I need to cut the bottom off of it...

And realized that I had a spare air box cover for my 92s that I can use on the 93 now that I took the stupid PAIR thingy out. Rather than having to plug the tube. Wish I would've thought of this before I cut the bracket off of it...

The first of many diff oil changes. I wasn't able to find SAE 90, so based off of what I read I used SAE 80W-90. Pumping it in was a little bit of a workout.
