hahaha, you all crack me up...I have to admit that I'm always excited at a new project. The 80 has been a bit stagnant since I finished the head gasket. The plan is to keep the 4runner as a low budget ride but my wheels are already spinning on a lift and what not. Hell, I've already put one of Mr. Hicks cup holders in it! So give me some feedback on that....tundra spring with bilsteins and my 80 springs on the back????? I'm putting my old 80 series 275 michelins on it now but they are a notch bigger than the 265 stock tires. I want a small lift and was thinking the mild OME on it.
I've been working on landcruisers so long that I was amazed at how inexpensive 4runner parts are and honestly, how mickey mouse some of the parts are. Generally speaking, its still Toyota but definitely not as stout as our cruisers. My 200 amazes me every time I stick my head under it.

They're even much better on gas even with a lift :D. I filled the void when I sold my first 80 with a 2000 4Runner. Great truck and very capable. Just not close to the cargo space and no tail gate to put your feet on when you sleep in the back.

What's your lift/spring setup?

What's your lift/spring setup?

If memory serves me correctly, 4" of total lift. It had an OME lift with a 1" Toytec front spacer and a 1" body lift. The front bumper had to be trimmed at the corners and the pinch welds inside the fenders at the body mounts pounded flat with a BFH. This was to prevent the front tires from not rubbing at full lock and articulation. 1.5" wheel spacers (adapters) to clear the 285s on the stock wheels from the UCA.

I'm about to go to the 4Runner forum to see if they are talking about 80s...

Hell yes they are:grinpimp:. They're all dreaming of having solid axles and fitting 35s.

Exactly. I'm going to start posting poser pics of my wife's Camry if everyone is going to post pics of their adorable 4Runners.

If you weren't planning on it, get the roost guards for the rear shocks. Had to cut the bottom edge down a little to clear the lower mounting post bolt, but i had significant nicks on the rear shafts after one 1k mile trip. roost guards do a good job of avoiding it, and aren't very expensive.

Where is that falls , Surfpig ?

What did I do? Nothing but drive it. Ever since my employer decided to block 'Mud as if it were common PORN, I cannot read everything on here. Miraculously, my truck no longer has any problems........

Didn't you pick up the diff oil for my 80 from VatoZone?

I know they are a sucky company but they are in the outlot of my work. Everyone else is 10 minutes out of my way.

Is there a dislike button somewhere! Haha!

This is how we all know you're single. I don't polish anything myself anymore :flipoff2:
