Winter 4x4 Jamboree -

One of the trails at sand hollow area in southern Utah. A little nasty obstacle, might be a little high for my rig. I was able to get my front wheels up after a few attempts then I was on my sliders and rear lower control arms. Rear diff, drive shaft all clear and of course BUMP IT.. Happened so quick..

Getting moving on the body swap. Only thing I forgot to unhook was the ground strap from the transfer case to the body, so it ripped that wire out of the terminal.

Other potential problems are the PS airbag being in the way of where the early model ECU goes.. not sure if the 94 engine harness is long enough to bolt the 94 ECU into the 97 location.. I'm not reinstalling airbags though, so I may build a bracket and stick it where it goes on the 94.

That, and a LOT of extra wires in the Lexus.. making combining the 94 engine, 97 body, and 94 front clip harnesses... "interesting".

Overall going much more quickly than I assumed. It was only 10 hours of work to get to this point.. pictures don't show the 97 donor being stripped and ready for lifting as well.

Yep...for the rear. Shipping took about 10 days...not bad coming from OZ!

620lb final load of 6 loads of trees to the dump. Arborist wanted $2k to take the trees out, learned a new skill myself instead.

According to the dump scales my 80 weighs in at ~6100lbs subtracting the weight of the trailer.
