Took her out for a quick one night camping trip in the San Juan National Forest!

Is that a battery cable going over the radiator then?
Nope.. just another radiator overflow hose from when I was twitchy and wanted to mount the overflow bottle over on the other side...

The glamor shot also didn't show the 2nd battery positive cable connected to the starting batt. In the past I had run it down along the bottom front of the radiator & back up... but doug720's set up certainly is the most direct route.... On the to-do list

Well, more like a weekend plus. Went on a 2100 mile camping/not camping trip through VA, NC, TN, KY, and WV. It was a beautiful drive through a very magical part of the world. The truck ran amazingly well except for the minor issue of the carb fan dying almost immediately.

Next time you're out in the NC/VA neck of the woods give me a shout. Always up for an adventure with another 60 owner.

I've yet to take mine on a long haul trip but plan on taking it up to Labrador next summer.

Not stock.
When a big 2nd battery is installed (which is not installed in that pic) it gets in the way of the stock air intake hose. So I used this Spectre air duct hose.
You can see that the radiator expansion tank has been moved to the passenger's side too.

This duct is the perfect size and can 'screw' into that square hole that exists in the inner fender and make a gentle right angle bend to reach the round hole opening in the front... at the same location the stock intake hose attaches too. It fits into that hole opening perfectly too. Nice & snug.

The quality of this duct is very good. It is strong and thick. I used to have one of those thin flimsy ducts... & it fell apart after a couple years. This one looks like it's going to last a very long time.
Can you provide more details on the hose? Part #? I need that hose! Link didn't show info. Thx!

Windshield installed! Aftermarket rubber gasket. [emoji16] We'll see if it truly is water resistant.

Put the 4runner wiper arms I got from Beno on, work great had to go to shorter (19") wipers though. I'd post a pic but busted the camera lens cover thing on the phone. Mostly they look like 4runner wiper arms on a '85 FJ60.

The home brew rod and heim wiper linkage worked flawlessly through the tropical storm that blew into town last night.

Is that a wind river sticker from Wyoming? That's one of my favorite places to hike/ camp!
I think it says wild river. I go to the winds every summer for two weeks. Awesome place

Ah didn't catch that... Ya we are going July 5th for a week, I cannot wait. Have you camped at granite lake north of the Green river lakes? That is where we are going this year.

Completed long range fuel tank install. Fueling and testing tomorrow.
