New antenna and stereo in the old girl. The antenna was the hardest part; I pulled the power antenna out to replace with a simple marine grade antenna which involved removing the washer fluid reservoir to get to the antenna motor. Anyway, I'm happy with the outcome. Radio reception is significantly better, I'm happy with the stereo I used, and I did not find a rats nets of wires. Here's the after:

You are more than welcome.... Nice pup, Akita cross?

J

She's full Akita.. Her tail's down, ...they do that when they're nervous or concerned. My fifth Akita in 27 years. I had her and a long hair at the same time. When she died at 14 I got another short hair. When the long hair died , got another long hair. I'm down to one now. She's 3 1/2 years, long tall and lanky at first but now she's starting to fill out . Up to 100 lbs now.

My first post here since I only use the forums to shop and the tech info.

I installed new headlights along with a new harness purchased from a member. I also upgraded my battery cable which were also purchased from a member. I'm very happy with the new setup.

Finally made time to make my brackets for the installation of my trans cooler for my fj62.
Using a 80 series trans cooler.

Now just need to crimp my hose lines and route then through. Then maybe also install a temp gauge for transmission.

Installed my rebuilt hot-rodded 3FE :steer:

Helped my cousin re-stab his DUI after he drilled/easy-outed the busted dizzy lock bolt. He's no idea how it came to break--just started running badly. Had some issues getting it right but once we figured out you're supposed to go to the line left of the BB (TDC vs 7* advance) all came right.

Since he's desmogged with a Trollhole carb we set the timing at 14* advance (BB at the left edge of the window) and it's running great. Took the opportunity to set the idle and fast idle with the tach/dwell meter. This went much easier when I figured out the idle speed screw is not the fast idle screw and vice versa.

I was inspired so went home and tried setting my timing but still couldn't see the damned BB. Got down there with some MEK on a q-tip taped to a screwdriver and found out it's hard to see because it's not there. Just a yawning chasm where it used to be.

Took this opportunity to poke a q-tip (new one) dipped in silver paint into the BB hole and put a mark at 14* advance--the distance from the the BB to the TDC line left of it but on the right of the BB. Running great.

Next: Idle mixture 'cause it's still snap, crackle, pop on decel and building a new mount for the fog lights that puts them behind the brush guard on the bumper so I won't knock 'em out of adjustment every time I lean into the front of the engine bay.

Sorry no pics.

Knuckle rebuild and wheel bearings replaced. Used the Terrain Tamer kit from Georg and everything came out great!

This is the only picture I took and it will serve as evidence! :).
