Had some fun camped out in the back of my HJ60, cool and sunny!

Pulled the original (I think anyway) power steering pump and cherrypicked parts from it and the better condition used one I got Friday night, rebuilt it, cleaned up the gunk and oil buildup from the leaky old pump, changed the belts, (except for the A/C belt which is cracked, but the parts store gave me the wrong one a few months back...), re-installed rebuilt pump, and its leak free!! Still need to work on getting all the air out of the system I think though.

I'm checking out this old post to clean up my power steering system. What are you soaking it in to clean it?

I powered my newly installed leather seats. They have fans built in to send cooling air through the seats.
I wired them up to the rear heater switch that I removed.
And i finished wiring up the heated seats as well

So with my new truck I got together all the parts for my headlight upgrade (Hella H1's and H4's on slcfj62's ultimate harness). I plan a post on that next week once the bulbs show up in the mail for the install. But I also found this photo of Old Blue on the beach in Hawaii (circa 2005). Thought I'd share.

A mix of degreaser and water. After I did that overnight I scrubbed it clean with wire brushes and washed it again before painting.
The rebuild ended up being unsuccessful so I took it to a shop who sent it out to a specialty shop to be rebuilt twice, then we tried a different pump that was also rebuilt, which also didn't work, so we sent the steering gearbox out for rebuilding. That wasn't it either, so we gave up and ordered a new pump from toyota at the tune of $400. Problem solved. IH8STEERINGPUMPS

Hey Reevesci, where did you get the lock strip for your side windows? I see you did your front window as well.

Used the 62 to fetch tools and parts so I could wrench on my DD.

Also put on a new rear wiper blade, vacuumed the inside, and put in new floor mats in the 62.

The neoprene rubber I bought to glue up as a headliner replacement was wayyy too heavy, so I turned it into floor mats. Need to find about 4 yards of something a lot lighter, like a yoga mat type material or something similar.

I was looking for yards of blended wool felt to cover the rubber with, but buying it by the yard was a lot more expensive than I thought it was going to be. I ended up finding 50% wool blankets at budk.com for $10 a pop. 50x80 inches, and they were exactly what I was looking for. I'll be buying 4 or 5 more for the headliner, a spare tire cover and to cover a new pair of rear quarter panel cards I'll make for it as well. Still have a good bit of left over rubber, so I'm planning on cutting out a half moon piece to glue into the inside of the spare cover to stop the tire from hitting the window.

This shows the heartbreaking little spot I missed behind the gas pedal when I rolled in the Monstaliner :bang:

What seats did you use and did you do a write up on it?
Thanks......
