DIY tailgate storage.... Have some finish work I'd like to do on it for appearances, but now I don't have to tote that tool box around.

Installed grab handle over glovebox, center open/close vents in dash, Jensen HD radio housing in dash, capped dash pad installed , and the hand throttle cable.

Yup... 2 @ 25# pull and 2 @ 16 # pull. Cheap and available I intend to have a more secure latch later, but I've already been on a few trails, as well as some quick stops and no unwanted tool deployment! Just hold my hand over it while I close the tail gate.

Super pics! Not to get too personal... but do you both sleep on that platform/storage system?
Can you PM me any more info on that, or pics? I'm thinking of something similar, but would
like the flexibility of having it expandable forward, for those times when I might have the rear
bench seat down. And if it could also expand back for when I have the window up and tailgate
down. THanks.. -J

Thanks for the compliment! We both sleep on the platform and it works great! It's a little smaller than a standard queen size. You can find more pics in my build thread here. If you have any more questions just let me know!

Thanks, I stripped it down as far as I could to make it easier to work on and have as clean of an engine bay on the 40 as I can.

Ya now you are almost forced to clean up the firewall, and make it look all pretty in there with that clean of a motor!
