I got to spend some time with my '60 today. I had the materials on hand and decided, what the heck- might as well use some of it.

- Patched two rusty spots above the windshield. Lay down some fiberglass, next is to sand and bondo. Not perfect, but it'll work for my trail rig.

- Started the blackout project for the chrome bits. Grill and headlight inserts are all in primer. Paint tomorrow if I get time.

- FINALLY figured out what friggin' bolts are used to mount the external mirror (only had two originals). After weeks of searching for what I thought was the correct size (M7.0-10), I took one to Napa today and found they are 1/4"-20. At least now I have two mirrors. :bounce:

- Got most of the rest of the tint off the rear window. Black trash bag+ammonia based window cleaner= wonders! The last few bits will require some time with a razor blade.

Built and installed a headlight harness thanks to slcfj62 fine design and started 2002 rodeo seat replacment thanks to pimpm3 work from last year and they work great.

Got it started after forgetting the float charger a couple of days ago. Apparently, the battery is only having trouble when it's well under freezing. Got donuts.

Started building my custom cargo drawers

Here's a pic of the frame I built today

Worked on swing outs, redid some mounts and added propane tank and a Rotopax mount.

Sent using IH8MUD app.

Not this weekend, but on Thursday, I took the day off and took my princess (Granddaughter) to the Manatee Viewing Center to see the manatees, sharks, etc. for her 8th birthday.

Her choice of rides?
The "Big Red Truck."
:)

Have to post pics of her in front of the rig when I get them off the wife's camera.

(If anyone knows how to "right" these pic's I'd appreciate it.)

well I finished my daughters tailgate storage door today, (it's to dark now, I'll take pics tomorrow), I was also able to get the first set of weld nuts welded under the cargo area for the "new" 3rd row seat arrangement, this way I don't have bolts sticking up in my cargo area, and bolting in a extra set of rear facing front seats only takes a few minutes.

PS. (removing the dynamite around the areas where the nuts were being welded was a pain in the ****, that stuff is just nasty..

I was also able to get 2" spacers on all the wheels for both FJ60's, needed those for the white 60 running 35X12.5's and it makes the 33X10.5's look better as well.

Also, I've been reading up and I think we are going to try and do a SOA on the green 60 so it matches the white on, although it will be a little higher as the green 60 has heavy leaf spring and the white one is factory.

Took a 1300 mile, 5 ski area road trip through Colorado.
No, I didn't take someone's handicap space. It was a deserted picnic area and it was closest to the bathrooms.
