Oh nice you got the other head on!

no just the one, the prior pic was measuring pushrod length. moved that one to the PS. Needed to get TDC and set the timing mark. 2nd head will be here on thursday from Jegs. Getting shivers up and down my leg though. Now I need the Ranger........saving quarters now.

We are now in Eagle CO. Resting place for the 83 for the rest of the winter. After the mishap with the tree, my daughter decided that what was mostly her LC was now mostly my LC, so it needed to be moved from CA to MI for restoration. So we drove it 3 days from Petaluma CA to Eagle CO arriving last evening. Today we take the Amtrak back. Parked and used this winter by friends here and in the spring driven the rest of the way to Michigan to my shop. We have owned it for at least 10 years and was a field expedition vehicle for daughter who had it all over the southern parts of the US. It has been in Michigan hardly at all during it's lifetime. Anyway runs great and just needs some work in the cosmetics, especially as it now has pick and pull fender and hood of none matching color. So, I guess this is a multi step program we are on. By the way the Transportation of Vehicle Industry sucks, so she will just have to get where she is going under her own power. So as a weekend project goes, she is half way to her new home.

Eagle, eh? That's home sweet home for me! If I can somehow help, shoot me a PM.

I fixed my electrical gremlin and got the rig back on the road. Removed some old, janky window tint. Got it out of the elements and back in the garage, and put some new "bling" on it.... aka replaced the PO's stickers with some that are more suiting to my personality. Parts collecting continues.....

Oh, and it finally got a name..... General Shenanigans.

Finally washed Pedro after all the mods. I'm liking where it's going!
next up, Tie rod ends, knuckle rebuild, radio/amp install, and a little body work

Took off the receiver hitch......which doesn't sound like much, but had to cut off a lot of frozen hardware.....so it felt like an accomplishment when it was over! Also removed the non functioning radio and reinstalled the review mirror. Finished up by taking the kiddo's out for a ride.

Oh, and just a little rust fell off when I took the hitch off.

Changed the oil and remounted the rear view mirror the shipper broke off during transport. Steering box and TRE's in the near future when planet Hoth thaws out.
