How much gap should I give between the swingarm spindle and the tail light? This is 10mm and Looks tight to me, but I wonder if there's that much flex to a fully welded bumper.

Your not the only one with that kit that's been sitting for a couple years! Ha.. nice

Installed the production front seat brackets for the 86-90 60-Series. Great for storing and mounting grab-and-go items like flashlights, first-aid kits, and fire extinguishers.

Looks great, any chance you’ll be making these for the 60 series? This would be great to hold my bear spray and other small MOLLE bags I have. If you need measurements and or CAD files for space claims etc let me know, my truck is a 1985.

These are for the later model 60 series (86-90) - the front bolt-to-bolt measurement is 13-1/4". I'm looking for measurements on the earlier models, as I believe it's longer. Not sure about the outside front to outside rear measurements either. If I could get one to measure physically, that would be ideal.

The struggle is real! It really surprises me how much heat is coming off catalytic converter below this floor pan. Inside the vehicle I’m getting temperatures on the floor plan around 95 degrees

Got a lot done this weekend. All exhaust gaskets have been replaced and shes seeming pretty leak free (for now). Tightened up some steering slop and have almost no play in the steering wheel. Swapped in a fellow MUD members seat belt receiver with an actual working button and cleaned up the seat belt retractor. No more seat belts hanging out the door when getting out! Lastly, she got her first bath since owning it and it cleaned up better than i thought it would!

Oh yeah, couple weeks ago discovered one of the bolts had come out of the rear drive shaft flange to the diff, and the other three were on their way. Got those replaced after having a death shake during acceleration.

Field work in the Red Hills of south Alabama. This is a region with a multitude of dirt roads that turn to a red snot when wet. We've been getting a lot of rain this year and these roads were particularly slimy today. These photos show the mild stuff. Steep hills with a heavy upper mud layer, that may have been churned by logging trucks, can a challenge. Often on the hills the ditches are cut deep because of loose soils. In this situation you drive in 4 wheel drive, 1st gear, and engine compression. Brakes are useless. Essentially you're slipping down the hill and steering to stay out of the ditches. Uphill is 1st or 2nd with throttle and perhaps the rear locker.

Not the weekend but… After my last camping trip had the bikes on a bike rack that was bouncing around quite a bit. The hitch I was using was a HF bolt on one. So found Curt 13402 on eBay for a great price ( brand new never used). Had to drill two holes in the frame and add a spacer under the bumper. Bike rack is rock solid now 👍.
