Bought an old UK army foldable shovel (not sure of age), a nice retro edition to the rig

Northwest AL this week for field work. N AL was hit with a snow storm last week and temps since then have been running below freezing for the most part. I encountered long icy stretches in Bankhead National Forest requiring 4WD, low range and as slow as possible to remain on the road. Some of the roads are steep with tight off camber curves, I drove those very cautiously. In general the ice remained where the road was shadowed.

Took the kids to the playground.
I have new 40 Series wheels that look like this, too. Somebody bought them 4 or 5 years ago brand new and powder coated them a light gray. Never been happy with the color against my 861 Light Blue Metallic or the white stripes on my truck... I'm REALLY digging this dark gray color though. Did you have them painted to match the body, or did they come that way? Any specific color info that could get me in the ballpark?

Sometimes I run the caps, sometimes I don’t. I’ve just never made peace with this color.

Here you go Steel Wheel Tech - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/steel-wheel-tech.1137060/page-13#post-14341969

So, were you able to remove the rust as well or can I just not see it in the bottom photo? :)

If you're looking for an effective way to remove as much rust as possible without harming the chrome I found that a brass wire brush and CLR or similar cleaner works pretty well!

That's a good tip, thank you! I ended up using adhesive remover and simple green to clean the wheel up, then an aluminum polish to finish. I have a bottle of CLR under the kitchen sink but the strength of that stuff kind of frightens me haha.

Last night I removed my ARB bumper, and Installed my new side marker lights.

The I proceeded to try to clean up some of my previous wiring work. Everything needs to be as perfect as it can be.
