My son and I pulled out the old master cylinder and break booster from our 1988 FJ62 and replaced them with parts from city racer. Bled the brakes and they feel like new! (And it no longer leaks brake fluid!)

I was not a car guy until I decided to get a FJ62. This forum has taught me so much about these awesome wagons!!

I got one spring in. I was a little concerned that the shackle would be off kilter for connecting to the spring since the rust swelling from the old c channels, plus new torquing of the replacement channel, might tweak the frame and hanger angle. But it all lined up perfectly. Only one issue with messing the threads of one pin from trying to bang it into the opposite plate, not realizing that the sliding side was the one I was banging. Duh. So i had to take it out and properly thread the pin in, then reinsert from the other way. I have the grease nipples pointing inwards not outwards, i figure less chance of damage there. Now I gotta figure out how to get the axle on the spring since it's an inch or two off with the spring not compressed. I might hafta zip off the other side's u bolts to free up the axle. That's for another day to figure out.

This 60 axle is in nice shape, no rust on the brake fittings caked under the mud. Too bad I'm replacing it with an 80. But for the FF, locker, wider track, and disc brake, I wont spend too much time missing it.

Replaced a broken left side motor mount today. I heard the fan hitting the shroud on a trail a few weeks ago and ratchet strapped it for daily driver duty. All better now.

The cause was probably my hemorrhaging steering box. The old mount and everything around it was caked in slimy ATF and a nice caking of ATF/sand mixture. I should probably rebuild the spare one I have and get it swapped in soon. @js0k I’ll be hitting you up for tips.

I saw the eclipse at Crater Lake, Oregon. Cloudy but hole in clouds opened in the perfect at the right time to enjoy seeing it. Didn’t even need the special glasses as the cloudy blocked the strong rays.

you really didnt have to make them look so pretty hahaha. Any plan to make ABS plugs by chance?
No, why would I make plastic when I can do aluminum?

Forgot to post this over the weekend. But I feel like I work on my wife’s 100 series like 3x as much as my 60 and it’s always stupid stuff like drive plates worn out or front diff bushings need to be replaced, or plastic radiator cracked, or something like that. This week it was the rod inside of her ignition literally snapped off.

A 60 would never.
