They did... a lot. I had a blown head gasket. I didn't want it to sit my garage for months, so I outsourced: brought it to a shop around town, they recommended shipping it to Iron Pig. I dropped it off in May. They did head gasket, machined the head and valves, cleaned out caked oil ports, thermostat housing, injectors, air rails, TPS.
It was a 1000 dollars for the 62, so dropping 4600 on repairs is fine (a lot of little things added up, like 20 hours labor, and I think they were being generous/conservative).
The experience was overall good, although there were points that I almost gave up hope that it would ever get back to me. Communication could have been better, if I didn't call I might have never heard from them, but when I did, the owner would give me tons of information.
Got it home, there was still some smoking, but it seems to have just been residual from the HG and repairs, no smoke at all now. It runs great, idles great. I think I would recommend them, just need to set your expectations time-wise, and don't be afraid to call them, or text back to the repair texts.

Came home about a week ago now to find this:
So spent the weekend correcting this situation. Got into a typical "while your in there" scenario with the truck. Needed new wheel studs so opted to just get new discs as well. Since I was replacing one side thought it would be prudent to replace the other as well. The calipers on this truck had bleed valves that were frozen in place. No amount of heat or free all would free them. I buggered the bleeder on one side trying to extract it and couldn't get the caliper hardline free on the other. So I just opted to start over with new loaded calipers from Cruiser Outfitters, with new hardlines and hoses. Not cheap but nice to know I'll have a full brake line reset going forward. The wheel got messed up when the studs let go, so had to do some tire swapping to the spare wheel I had to put things right again.
Still not quite done. Discovered an issue with the passenger side hub not locking up so need to get that sorted. Over 100 degrees yesterday and by 4 PM I had had enough. Will save the hub work for another day.

No photos of the truck, just loaded her up and went camping with some friends. It's nice to have the 60 to a point where I can plan for maintenance alongside getting good use out of it. I'm due for an oil change, and it's probably a good time to install the NOS front leaf springs I dug out of the parts bin.

New product for those doing in-tank pump retrofits to 60 tanks.
I too had seized caliper bleeders. I also had a problem with one of my locking hubs. Turns out I didn’t install it correctly and the hub “clutch” system was not engaging when I turned it from free to locked. If I recall you have to have the apron compressed when you install it. Or maybe it’s the other way around. I forget at the moment. But that’s likely what’s going on.
White smoke is back... intermittently. Basically, every other day, cold start up, odd amount of white smoke for maybe 2 seconds. Intermittently at stoplights, upon acceleration, white smoke for maybe 2 seconds. Not a ton, but noticeable behind me. Some stoplights its there, some its not. Just had my head gasket done. Not sure what else it could be.
Does your engine get up to temp? Mine blew a lot of white smoke on startup for a while because my thermostat was bad and condensation wasn’t getting burned off. Also, did you use an oem gasket on the head? I seem to recall that others tend to fail quickly.
It does get up to temp, I think (Ill do some double checks, consistently sits at the first quarter line after 10/20 minutes of driving, although I have that bug where the pairs of gauges surge randomly/rarely). Iron Pig did the head gasket, and they we're pretty adamant about parts being OEM, so I assume so.

. Rough month for me and cruiser wrenching. I'll blame this one on the searing heat and getting in a rush to finish. See @cps432's rule #1. Hub is sorted now and truck is all put back together. Drove it around today for final checks. So far so good.
When my thermostat was stuck open the temp gauge also sat at the first quarter line. It should be about halfway.
I bought my suspension from them. They had best $$value at the time and were easy to talk with as noob back then.

Went camping, did a valve adjust for the first time (which means I did it twice). Followed the copious amount of information on Mud and enlisted the wife to peep thru the timing window. First time still sounded like a sewing machine, second time got quiet.

Hmm, mine definitely sounds like a sewing machine. I've done a cold adjustment, I guess that means I need to do it hot now.
