To be honest, didn’t do anything with my 60 this weekend.
That being said.....MY H55F CAME IN!
Still assembling the rest of the A440F to 5 speed pieces for the swap.

Nice!!! it'll now be radio, headlights, and transmission. lol

Did I miss a thread on this swap? I'm very curious to see how it all flows.

Good catch. I’ll update my signature line.
I’ll document the build over the winter. Still assembling parts (bell housing, flywheel, drive shafts etc etc etc.). Once the snow and salt hit the roads, this rig goes into transplant mode.
Of course, the second I ordered the H55F, my tired old A440F started operating perfectly. It must know I’m about to “fire” it.

Explored up in the mountains and figured out that my rig is way more capable than I am ;)

Took a vid so that I could learn how to do it better next time :)

I’m pretty close...
She’s getting new 4:10 diffs, wheel bearings. New thermostat and water pump. New body mounts, 3” lift, and new 33” shoes for the occasion. And for her birthday in February she might get a 5 speed....

Anybody know who makes the mileage badges for these engines? I’ve seen a thread somewhere. I need one!

Where are you sourcing the diffs?

Cruiser outfitters, baby! New gears. New bearings. Plus the axle seals and whatnot. Drop it right in. Drink a beer. And thank God for Kurt and co.

Unfortunately, mine is parked. It was running so well then.... Clutch peddle started feeling funny, dot 3 dripping in the floor mat... It still has enough to function. Then a gremlin started messing with the Sniper. Tach signal was going crazy!! Backfiring, bucking, it was gnarly. I limped it another mile to my driveway. Started it today and it was fine. It could be electromagnetic interference from somewhere. HEI? ECU? Anyway it has to do with tach signal. Ordered master and slave with braided stainless line from JT Outfitters and boxed up the stock Dizzy to mail to @FJ40Jim .

Prepped the truck for a cross country trip - VA to CA. All fluids, new KO2s, and stock wheels back on. I prefer the look, but they’re about 10lbs a wheel heavier. I also swapped out my ripped driver seat for a better looking set I picked up a few years back. Happy to get this back on the road after a few years of storage.

Started tear down and coolant drain to replace my leaking radiator with a CSF. The heat makes this brutal in the garage. Will have to split this job up in small bites. Also planning on replacing:
Thermostat
Both BVSVs
Split fan shroud
Radiator hoses and clamps
Oil cooler hoses clamps and piping
