A romantic day with my cruiser. Changed the oil, greased drive lines and the pins on the springs. Advanced the timing 3°. I think we both felt better. So satisfying hearing her purr after all she went through with the desmog this spring.

I've found that plastic safe contact cleaner works like a champ for getting any contaminants out of these old switches. Some rocker switch updates and restore upgrades
I think this is the beginning of something way

Removing 30 years of eye buggies and McDonald’s fries grease ....

HJ61 that someone swapped in a 2H/5 speed with square headlights. Not sure where you got round headlights from.
How hard was it getting to the top of the bolts, and where did you source the hardware from?Changed out the body mounts. The old rubber ones didn’t look too bad to be honest, but these new poly bushings are really nice!

It’s easy to get to the bolts. Just pull back the carpet. Some of them have a rubber gasket covering the access hole. The two in the very rear had some panels that come off with philips head screws. They’re under the truck and right below the tail lights. How hard was it getting to the top of the bolts, and where did you source the hardware from?
Nice work! I bet that makes a noticeable difference. Did you happen to check if the OEM rubber mounts are still available or NLA?Changed out the body mounts. The old rubber ones didn’t look too bad to be honest, but these new poly bushings are really nice!

They are still available. A set of oem rubber body mounts was around $600. The poly kit from 4Crawler is as about $265 shipped. No brainer there.Nice work! I bet that makes a noticeable difference. Did you happen to check if the OEM rubber mounts are still available or NLA?
I bet that makes you feel some things. Yours has 85,000 miles more experience than mine though.
cool decals.... I wonder if anyone has found any clear decals for this switch. Some rocker switch updates and restore upgrades
