From that to this.... crap, now I have no excuse to avoid reassembly.

What size bike is that? I'd like to do something like that with mine on the back but not sure if the 60 can handle the weight of my 06 Honda XR650L

Id be very hesitant to put a 650 on the front of a rig without heavy front suspension. Mine is a 200cc bike. That one is my buddies used for the mock up.

Pulled my starter and had it rebuilt. Looks great except for those funny marks...
Note to self - replace the framing hammer in my kit with a ball peen hammer.

Love the steering wheel. I have a similar box but my skis (189) don’t fit..:(
Compared to "the old days" those skis are short :). I remember the Head 360s I skied on at Pajarito Mountain many years ago - 210 cm - nearly 7 feet long! I was driving my '84 FJ60 to the ski area back then, with Yakima racks, so length didn't matter. The racks are still on the vehicle but don't get any use now that it's in southern Nevada.

I hear ya John. I had some of my Ol'School equipment at the barn and my son wanted to try it all on. He was lost in the nostalgia of my youth for a few minutes.
205 Dynastar Kevlar mogul skis for when I had less than 20 year old knees.

So funny. I remember skiing on 205’s. Now it’s all about how wide! We ski Whistler/Blackcomb mostly and lots of backcountry so shorter powder skis are the order of the day these days. The box incidentally was bought years ago and had to fit a stroller and luggage as we had a dog who took up cargo space so we got the biggest one, it’s served us well and continues to.

The good old days doing donuts up Seymour in the snow in my 84 4×4 Tercel. Good training for winter driving.

I'm using PS pumps from '84 Tercel 4WDs in both of my FJ40s, along with mini-truck PS gearboxes. Good combination if you're not running big tires.

Got out at the tail end of the weekend to catch the sunset!

Yep I used to ski 210s before modern fat skis came out.
I need to make a very narrow ski rack so I can use the Thule and still mount skis on the 60, another project....
