Fixed my cruise control knob that was just hanging loosely, replaced my heater C/B so my A/C would work again without kicking off, pulled off my grab handles to clean all the black buildup off of them (overnight soak in Simple Green does the trick) and lubed my speedometer cable. Speedo needle is much more stable now.

Swapped out the old 5 speed knob for a new one. Never really liked the rubber knob.

My 60s been with Nick @ Adventure Fab in Vancouver, Washington getting the rear tire carrier built. He works out of his own home. Custom bumpers and racks is all he does. Very talented guy who builds anything how you want it. He likes to incorporate your vision with his knowledge and experience to build a quality product at a great price. My bumper is almost done. Added rear quarter panel sliders off the rear bumper. Today he’s building sliders.

I know it's a 6.2, but I'd it a Gen lV, or V?
Are these slightly narrower than the Gen III?
The exhaust mani clear those narrow rails really good..!!

Gen IV Erod, stock manifolds. I raised the motor 1" from where most would place it IMO, it gave me a little more room at the frame/manifold point. Other wise the flanges would be really close and I knew I needed to roll and play with the downlegs to the CATs.

Took about an 800 total mile road trip in the 60 to the Indy car races in Iowa. Super hot, and of course had AC problems. I noticed it seemed to be getting a little warmer, so I put a thermometer in the vent. It was about 65 degrees. In about an hour, it was still 65, then 70, then 80 2 hours after the initial 65 reading. Then it was give up time. I checked refrigerant when I got to my destination and it was right where it should be, compressor clutch was engaged. I believe the compressor failed to compress. It was running, but not cooling. So it got pulled last night. Not fun, as it was real tight. Note to self—should have replaced it when I put the LS motor in.

Hope that fixes it

I got the USB dash blank installed, since the cig lighter has never worked for lighter adapters I wired it directly to the acc power and ground leads for the lighter.

But I found two mystery plugs loose behind that lower bezel, one two wire W/G and R/G, one four wire W/B, Bl, Bl/W, R/G:

They don't appear to connect to anything I could see inside the dash, any ideas? The wiper, defrost, and rear heat all are connected and working.

Replaced center and rear dome lights with new OEM parts. Got driver side snake binders put back on with new clips. The LED lighting in the cab with the dome lights is awesome.

The never ending saga. Put an A/C compressor on it, the condenser o-rings leak. Put condenser o-rings in it 3 weeks after I did the compressor and now the radiator is leaking. I feel like these things liked to be worked on. Like the truck is all “Hey, he hasn’t popped the hood in a couple of weeks, better start leaking something!!”
