How are the shocks working out Seth? Planning to order new shocks from rock auto soon.

So far they are good. Only got tears but with fresh bushings things seem a little nicer in the back. Worth the $30/each. I think Sachs is a little better quality than Monroe or job but not sure if that matters on these rigs.

Washed the Dodge and camper with my son for our family trip to Yellowstone while Snowball❄ just watched with jealousy. I wish I was taking the 60 but the wife loves the cozy camper.
The campers been a chore. Bought in 2014 and enjoyed 2 seasons before dry rot reared it’s ugly head. Spent a half year learning how to rebuild a camper. Here was its first trip to 3 Creeks Meadow. The front bubble windows were the source of the problem. After that decided front windows aren’t worth the headache last of another leak.

Got a pair of new rear Sachs shocks from rockauto for $60 total. Crawled under the rear of the truck Tuesday afternoon expecting the worst. And 25 minutes later had both shocks installed with 0 headache. Original bolts came out easily and went back on with anti seize for the future. Rear rides a bit nicer than the old Monroe’s as they were starting to suffer.
Changing shocks on these things is about as a easy as changing the oil.

Did the fj62 relay window mod, made 100% difference in window speed and reliability. Possibly the best "mod" I have done. Took a picture of the rig too. Stock suspension with fill length AAL's and 235/85/16. Sits pretty perfect?

Finally got my rig back. Shipped it to Massachusetts due to relocation. Too busy to work on it right now so I had John at Balise Toyota in West Springfield file the rocker arms (to remove a ticking noise that wasn’t an exhaust leak), balance both drive shafts (to remove a vibration) and swapped out an out of true OEM wheel that was causing a waa waa waa noise at freeway speeds.
Got it out for its first East Coast Adventure.

Been trying to hunt down a vacuum leak and figured a good place to start was swapping out the old lines. Don't think I've found it yet, but it was definitely time to get em swapped.

Looks like you did a full on job with the lines. I used throttle body cleaner to find a pesky vacuum leak and mine was a leaky diaphragm on the EGR valve. Wasn't even a line! I ended up doing an EGR delete but...if the lines aren't fixing the problem...could be a diaphragm somewhere!

What did I do w/ it? Pulled more parts off the block and spun it on a stand. Sigh...
