Made havoc with my truck this weekend .

Started my fan shroud mod. It's in two pieces now and needs to get finished with pop-rivets .

Cleaned up the front end. Ripped out old heater hoses and oil cooler hoses.

Kind of bent the water heater valve. Any suggestions on ways to resend without breaking it? See picture.

Spent some quality time degreasing and cleaning up the upper and lower thermostat housing.

Exploded my AC Condenser with my drill by accident .Whoops. That system had a lot of pressure .Was not expecting that.

Excited to out it all back together again.

It's brass so you should be able to carefully roll it out from the inside with a screwdriver or something like that. You may not get a good seal with your hose though.

That's worked for me in the past with my upper oil cooler pipe. I started with a smaller diameter screwdriver blade then worked my way up to a 3/8" socket extension. I also applied pressure across the larger part of the pipe with a large wood clamp, gradually tightening it as the pipe got rounder and rounder.

I am asking because I am loving driving Roscoe, but man, with the a/c on going uphill the 3FE is taking it's sweet time, even with a manual tranny, LOL

Looking good. These are aluminum? I thought maybe they were 3D print product. Anyway, any thoughts to the gasket?

I'd get in line for a pair of those.

These are 3D printed for simplicity before going to the mill for the aluminum version. About 8X cheaper to run a 3D sample than an aluminum mill sample. I'll test fit and make any revisions needed. The preliminary basket is already in the works. Once I get the final revision of the cover, I'll send the file to my gasket maker for final design there.

Nice background, man!

Like that old Model 12 on your fender.
Good eye, although to be a stickler it wasn't till 1919 that they shortened it from "Model 1912" to "Model 12." ;). 101 years old and you'd be hard pressed trying to convince me anyones done better since.

@cps432 @4Cruisers both great suggestions. Yeah, I think I kind of yanked a little too hard when trying to get the old hose off. I'll attempt to roll it out. Much better option than spending $75 -100 for an OEM. Thanks for the notes.

Been DD the truck for a few weeks straight now. Yesterday and today put in possibly 6+ miles of hiking to grab many nice fresh flushes of Maitake aka hen of the woods mushrooms plus a few others. It’s been a bumper season for all wild mushrooms here in CT.
Then in the late afternoon went over to the welders building and watched him draw my frame patch on CAD then thumb drive it to the plasma cutter and then I helped bend it in a huge machine called a Niagra. I traded some fresh mushrooms for it.

If you can't salvage it I've got one from my '86 FJ60 (same part number) I can let go of for a reasonable price. Let me know.

Two things this last week.
First was new clutch and related parts. 20 years of service from when the original owner did the 350 swap in 98. Upgraded and corrected many "half a$$ed" things.
Second was install the @dnp carpet kit. Spent the day in the barn with @BombCity, thanks for the help Big Bro. This is one of the best improvements I have done. So much quieter now.
Many thanks to @CenTXFJ60 , @mcguirejohnson , @fl4031003 and all the folks at SAS #2 for this carpet kit.
